in going after our enemies, for the first time in maybe 50-60 years.

I've backed him 100% on that and no one on here can say different. I'll fight with anyone who dares to challenge him on that.

If one doesn't agree 100% with what Bush says, we are immediately called Bush bashers. Which weakens their argument because they don't know us enough to make that charge. They just like to throw that out to make themselves feel superior in some strange twisted way.

I won't follow him blindly when I see our country being invaded by a horde of illegal aliens, bankrupting this country and threatening our very existence and heritage.

Do you what??? I think President Bush could come out tomorrow, and say he has changed his mind, that he wants a fence built, and NO talk of amnesty or a guest worker program...

And Congress STILL wouldn't pass a bill.

Not only that....but, he would STILL be blasted here, and everywhere else...this man has been vilified for just about everything that has gone wrong, or not gone right, in the world, since 2000...and nothing is going to change that except time.

History may be much kinder than even his contituents are on him...because no matter what good he has done, so many people, even Republicans, conservatives, freepers are so quick to believe the worst about him, that it does him no good to try to defend himself against every MSM report or editorial, or digruntled ex-CIA guy/girl...

I've read up to this point in the thread and so haven't yet read to the very end.

Regardless of what I think about the MM and any proposed solutions to the border problems, I'm getting sick and tired of people like you who want to lay the blame for illegal immigration solely at Bush's feet.

Illegal immigration didn't begin with Bush, it's been in existence for decades. I'm also getting pretty tired of you claiming Bush is for open borders when in actuality he's proposed nothing of the sort.

Words have meaning. Explain to me please exactly how a guest worker program would mean an open border policy. Open borders are what I have when I cross the border into Texas or Kansas or Louisiana from Oklahoma.

Please pay special attention to the fact I haven't come out in favor of either side. I lived in Texas for 50 of my 54 years so I've had experience up close and personal with the illegal immigration issue. I do believe something does need to be done about illegal immigration but so far I haven't heard of a plan from either side which is feasible.
