U.S. tipping Mexico to Minuteman patrols (telling the Mexican government)
Daily Bulletin ^ | 5/9/2006 | Sara A Carter

Posted on 05/09/2006 6:21:25 AM PDT by IrishMike

While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen -- and telling the Mexican government where they are. According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants -- and if and when violence is used against border crossers.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants' rights are being observed.

"It's not a secret where the Minuteman volunteers are going to be," Mario Martinez said Monday.

"This ... simply makes two basic statements -- that we will not allow any lawlessness of any type, and that if an alien is encountered by a Minuteman or arrested by the Minuteman, then we will allow that government to interview the person."

Minuteman members were not so sanguine about the arrangement, however, saying that reporting their location to Mexican officials nullifies their effectiveness along the border and could endanger their lives.

"Now we know why it seemed like Mexican officials knew where we were all the time," said Chris Simcox, founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. "It's unbelievable that our own government agency is sending intelligence to another country. They are sending intelligence to a nation where corruption runs rampant, and that could be getting into the hands of criminal cartels.

"They just basically endangered the lives of American people."

If it hasn't been denied by the Minutemen and Chris Simcox, it hasn't been denied.

How would they know to deny anything?

And, if they did, they'd look like they were used to put up a phony story.

Besides, they're relishing all the red meat this story has provided for people like you, for instance.

Interesting reading...I'm sure it will be totally ignored like a webpage posted by the Mexican government.

I have questions about the story myself, which I've expressed on forum.

And I appreciate that you appreciate the Minutemen's efforts.

I also hope they haven't been hoodwinked into believing something untrue, to the degree they would repeat it.

So I pictured her in a high place

Why would you do that when she wasn't talking about "putting down" anybody; she was clearly talking about "putting you down" on a list.

I'm sure you've heard that phrase before. Perhaps that's why I misunderstood what you said.

Well, make up your mind - which one is it that you want, Social Security Numbers for more and more uses, or not?

MSM would love to embarrass the MM. Critical thinking is required here. Facts are just beginning to emerge.

Just another law that isn't being enforced. Illegal entry into our country is also a crime.

Guess you didn't see the three or four threads we had around here covering the use of childrens social security numbers?

The fradulent use of a Social Security Number is a federal crime.

So I guess it'll go un-investigated. (Heard on the radio that one SS card had over 700 participants paying into one account).

The original purpose of the social security number was for work and was never used for i.d. I'm not the one who changed what its purpose, or intent, was. Don't pretend that you don't know it's not being used to fraudently obtain other things than work.

Why Immigration and Why Now?

Domestic and Global Changes

Much of the economic, social, and political vitality of the United
States can be attributed to the contributions of previous waves of
immigrants. Immigration, along with an effective system for managing
it, will be even more crucial to the growth, success, and safety of
U.S. society in the future for four reasons:

1. Changing demographics--an aging population coupled with
growth in the numbers and diversity of the foreign-born population,
which currently comprises 11.1 percent of the U.S. population

2. Labor market projections--an increase in net employment,
including many jobs that require only short-term training, and an
increase in the percentage of foreign-born in the workforce

3. Regional integration--deepening economic ties between the
United States, Canada, and Mexico and increased regional and
global labor mobility

4. National security--features that make the United States attractive
to so many motivate others to try to harm it.

Thanks for posting that.

Simcox was likely abused himself as a child, which is why he tried to abuse his own daughter.

He's filled with anger, and will likely kill somebody or be killed.

Getting back to my point - not all illegal aliens are breaking other laws if they are using Individual Taxpayer ID numbers or are not working like elementary school students (legal or not) who do not need Social Security numbers either.

No, she posted that she was putting down TigersEye's remark as the most asinine post of the evening.

But, if she's putting me down on a list... well, I shrug my shoulders.
