WASHINGTON, May 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- On ABC's "This Week," Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean outlined the Democratic Party's agenda for bold leadership and real change. He answered tough questions from host George Stephanopoulos. The following are excerpts from Dean's appearance:
The Democratic Agenda for Real Change:
"The fact is we want real change in this country. We're going to balance the budget, we're going to have American jobs that stay in America and we're going to have honesty and openness in government again. I think those are pretty important. The next thing we're going to do after that is make sure that everybody has health care in this country. If they can do that in 36 countries around the world, we can do that here in the United States of America.
"We want real change in this country, and that's the central election issue. Do you want more of the same, or do you want real change? Because the Democrats are ready to lead again."
Ending the Republican Culture of Corruption:
"There is a culture that goes from the White House to the Vice President's office to the leadership of the United States Senate to the leadership of the United States House of Representatives, and in the agencies. Corruption has become a way of life and it has to change. We have to pass real ethics legislation, not the nonsense that was passed last week in the House of Representatives.

Or actually, this could be titled "Who the Throw Em Out In Novemberoids Want to Put In Power"
Sure, made the Lubyanka look like a Sunday school picnic.
Some agenda! Harumph!< /sarcasm >
Sorry. After watching Nancy Pelosi on MTP yesterday, I couldn't handle listening to Dean and George...
"We're also going to create a good five-cent cigar!"
He says 80 percent of Americans are struggling? Where do they get these numbers from? Perhaps they might be...making them up?
That corruption thing is getting tired. Blah, blah, blah, blah ....
they're struggling to understand him!
Ha! The rats have so many problems and more potentially deadly infighting than we do.

Al Gore Might Yet Join 2008 Contenders

...(Gore's denials) aren't persuasive to some Democrats, including former Clinton-Gore White House insiders. "I do know that he's thinking about it. I know for a fact," a former adviser says. "He's talked to people about the pros and cons."
Among those said to be pushing Mr. Gore are billionaire venture capitalist and high-tech entrepreneur John Doerr and Laurie David, a global-warming activist and producer of the film, and wife of "Seinfeld" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" creator Larry David.

But, she adds, he changes the subject whenever it comes up, and had to be talked into making the movie when she pitched it.
/snip
"His star will never be higher than it is right now with his movie coming out," says Democratic consultant Karen Skelton, Mr. Gore's former political director.
The Gore buzz reflects a sense among even some pro-Clinton Democrats that Mrs. Clinton...can't win the general election because she is a polarizing figure to many voters. These skeptics believe only someone such as Mr. Gore with the celebrity and fund-raising potential to match Mrs. Clinton could stop her.
Like Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Gore remains a negative figure to many voters, says a Democrat who has seen private polls. For both, that might only increase with the spectacle of a Clinton-Gore brawl. Even insiders can't fully account for the bad blood that has built up since... Several insiders say Mr. Gore is more likely to run if Mrs. Clinton does than if she doesn't.
Also controversial among Democrats was Mr. Gore's 2004 endorsement of Howard Dean...
Gee. what's the tax rate and the unemployment rate in those 36 countries and do any of them have a balanced budget?
But then Dean says:
"The economy is in good shape if you look at corporate earnings.."
Wal-Mart is a corporation last time I looked; and we know what their numbers have been, even with gas prices where they are.
80%?!? 80%??? Nobody told me that we're in the middle of another Great Depression! Where are the soup lines?
What? No $100,000 minimum wage?
_______
They are going to need that to balance the budget. Wow, $5 gas and $10 big mac.
The entire Liberal Democratic Party should be committed to a mental ward for evaluation. They should all be certified as nut cases. If you combined all their brain cells into one, they'd still be lacking.
Sorry. After watching Nancy Pelosi on MTP yesterday, I couldn't handle listening to Dean and George...

Yes, they are a totally disgusting lot of political and government parasites. Stuck on stupid and stuck on socialism.
Reminds of Clinton's promise to be the most honest or least corrupt administration ever.
We all know what a resounding success that was.
Dean and Pelosi were out making the rounds yesterday (how many times did Stephenapoulos address Pelosi as Madame Speaker?). I actually think it's a good thing that these two get face time as they are downright frightening, not fit to have the responsibility of leading a kindergarten finger-painting session, much less wield political power.
The fact is, that 80 % of all statistics are made up on the spot.
See? I just made that up!
