Been nice knowin' ya, America
By Dimitri Vassilaros TRIBUNE-REVIEW Sunday, May 7, 2006
Will the next generation of U.S. citizens consider themselves Americans or post-Americans? Better still, why wouldn't they consider themselves post-Americans? Considering how quickly this republic is unraveling, is it too late to ask rhetorical questions?

Agreed.
Thanks.
NO. I don't !THINK! he is.
I sure HOPE he's not.
I just don't have that level of access with enough solid facts.
But someone I trust a lot insists Bush is an authentic Christian trying hard to follow God's guidance in his awful position. He has prayed with Bush a number of times.
What do I know.
I certainly believe his father is more than a little under the puppet masters' influence.
REGARDLESS, Bush is the best we have or are likely to have the next few years. And we must do what we can to support him as well as insist on Conservative values and actions. We also must do all we can to keep the DIMRATS out who would race us into the global tyranny at the speed of light.
Beautiful. Thx.
I agree about The Constitution.
Alas, it's been in the shredding process for several decades.
It must be shredded from the puppet masters' perspective in order to implement the world 'constitution' which basically is nice sounding milk sop affording global dictatorship total power.

Ariel Durant started as Will Durants student, became his wife and then his equal. A brilliant conversationalist and sharp debater, Ariels intellect blossomed under the guidance of the man whom she referred to as her "teacher, lover, mentor and friend," Will Durant.
To Will Durant, she was the embodiment of life itself; fun loving, controversial, unafraid to speak her mind (in fact, refusing to do otherwise) and a champion of womens rights. Born Chaya, which means "life" (Ida in English) Kaufman on May 10, 1898 in Proskurov (now Khmelnitski) Russia to Jewish parents, Chaya immigrated with her mother, three sisters and older brother to the United States, landing in New York in November of 1901, Chaya would grow up on the streets and learn to fight and fend for herself at an early age.
At the age of 13 she discovered the Ferrer School, which specialized in libertarian education. Not long after she began attending, a young man by the name of Will Durant signed on to be a teacher in that institution. He immediately was attracted to the young student, who reminded him so much of a sprite that he nicknamed her "Puck." According to Ariels recollection: Will for years called me Puck, from one of Shakespeares flighty fairies; but in his premature autobiography, Transition (1927), he rechristened me Ariel, from another fairy forgetting that they were both male. This has become my legal name
By the time she reached the age of 15, teacher and student had fallen in love. Realizing the potential problems that would attend such a student-teacher relationship, Durant resigned his position and spoke to Chayas mother about marriage. Despite some initial misgivings, Mrs. Kaufman in time gave her consent to the union and accompanied Will Durant to City Hall to witness the marriage. Chaya herself almost missed the service, as she had opted to roller skate to the locale and, to everyones relief (and after one or two falls en route) Chaya arrived at City Hall out of breath, but ready to start a new chapter in her life as a married woman.
"OK everybody, listen to me. I have the perfect plan to destroy America once and for all. If the President does not meet our demands, we will use high technology to disable all the sensors on the Mexican border as well as use some of these uh..."lasers"..to blind all the border agents who keep illegal aliens from sneaking across the border. Then, millions of illegal aliens will flood across the border, overwhelming welfare and social services offices, schools, hospitals and infrastructures, all while stealing jobs from American workers and sending untaxed money out of the country. They'll also have lots of criminals coming in with the others, who will commit massive amounts of crime and maybe even some terrorism to boot. The President will have no choice but to meet our demands and pay us....ONE BILLION dollars!! HooHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!..HOOHahaha.......what?"
"(cough) Doctor Evil...many things have changed since you've been away. There is no effective border anymore. The President not only is not afraid of your threats - he's made it national policy to implement by default - everything you just described. Not only that - he will hardly pay you one billion dollars to avoid what he WANTS to have happen - and which is CURRENTLY happening - at a cost of tens of billions of dollars annually. I suggest just the opposite...that we threaten to CLOSE the border. Only THAT will scare this President."
It was 68 years.....
I am a Native American. That is, simply, someone who was born here.

I am too. My paternal ancestor jumped ship in New York Harbor - 1923. My husband's maternal ancestors came over on the Mayflower.
I am far more conservative than he is...but working on saving him.
The security of the border has little to do with it. Get rid of the state and federal programs that grease the skids on which illegals arrive..and guaranteed 80% + will think twice about making the journey.
No programs...no illegals. Just do it.
Love that man.......
Lady, you have a distinct gift...please keep up the great writing...
This statement still echoes within the city of Rome. They thought the status quo was just fine as well.
Keeping a Nation alive and well is much like keeping a house in good order. One has to inspect the premises from time to time and replace the rotten timbers. This grand Nation of ours in great need of work. I would advise you to listen to rational critics, then help with the scaffolding.
Beautiful. Thanks.
Thanks so much!

Agree.
Wow! You've taken a pretty big bite of that Utopian Dream Weed. When the Mexican culture takes root here, our country will be ruled just like Mexico is today. Ever been to Mexico?
>>It's going to be impossible for you (dalereed) to explain what you mean concerning the difference in the country (and it's people) back in our older days.<<
And for that matter would it really be healthy for each generation to wish they had been born earlier instead of the world now?
I can't understand that sentence as you wrote it.
