Well Tejano is an American form of music.
Same thing at my local Wal-Mart. I took all those mexican flag caps and put them into the garbage can at the garbage can section, near household goods area. Finis!
The promotion of Cinco de Mayo is part of the cultural assault on traditional American society, to help ease us into our multicultural/Hispanic/South American future, business is more than happy to try and make a buck on it. Business is amoral, at best. Business doesn't lead these trends but for the most part truckles to the beliefs of authority because that is the path of least resistance. Business internationalism follows political internationalism, not vice versa.
WMT is evolving into the Hispanic culture. the next ceo will be Hispanic/Mexican. Get use to it.
I did my grocery shopping last night at a Walmart grocery store. I saw a big box of American flags for sale up by the check out counters, for all to see. I never saw anything like that in a supermarket even right after 9/11. The only thing that upset me was all the Tyson chicken they sold.

I suppose you just hate it when they put out Jelly Beans for Easter too, Eh? What are you going to do when Wal-Mart has American flags in all sizes and red, white & blue bunting and sparklers to sell for the 4th of July?
You must not have much else in life to worry about, if supplies for Cinco de Mayo can derail you like this. ;)
The simple answer to your question is that they must have a lot of customers of Mexican heritage.
Now all that they have to do is complete the victory by breeding themselves into absolute majority by having free babies using our tax dollars.
FREE BABIES!
Take two, they're small!
Making money off Mexicans would be my guess. Long as they pay with greenbacks and not pesos then cash is cash take it from everyone its the american way.
