Right,I didn't think of that one. I know when we were kids my Dad always said that. He also said, " If I find out that you're lying, you'll get double the punishment! We came clean pretty quick!"

I know that lying was the absolute worst crime you could commit in my house. No matter what you did, don't lie about it. We got in alot more trouble if we lied.

LOL! I was the wus, couldn't lie to save my life! It was written all over my face. My brother was a tough nut to crack! It drove my parents crazy!

Also, I don't understand wanting people to think that you are deceitful and a loser. I mean people respect folks more when they take responsibility for their actions. If I were a public official I would not want people to think that I was so weak, that I would blame addiction on anyone but myself. I would not say I was addicted, I would just say I used poor judgment and it won't happen again, and throw myself on the mercy of my constituents.

God has such a wonderful sense of humor. Maybe that is why I never had kids? LOL Mother always said some day you'll have a kid and I hope it's just like you. Scared the Hell out of me and I was not even that bad. Compared to my brother, I was an angel.

So true!!! Plus, He could have entered rehab quietly during the summer recess. He thinks he will gain sympathy and votes by admitting his addiction. Dims wear it as a badge of honor!

It makes him look like a loser as far as I am concerned. I mean if he has a problem, I feel bad for him, and he should go into rehab, but he's using that to avoid taking responsibility for his actions. Because He did not come right out with it, when it happened. It took two days to get the story straight. If I were merely taking Ambien, I would have demanded they blood test me and clear the air!
