That's what I wondered, if there was a bar tab somewhere. (Kennedy will pay him off.)
It's my guess that just too damn many people saw him "out and about" at closing time to let the payoff mode kick in....the horse got outta the barn this time.

I am starting to love the rank & file of the Capitol Police.
Wasn't it nice of the police brass to take over the situation on-site. It shields the lowly patrolmen from having to deal with such delicate Keystone Kennedy Kongressman.

All depends on when he took the drug and how fast the pill worksThat's assuming he actually took the drug that night. It's possible he was simply drunk. I want to see the time stamp on the bar tab. If it was 10-15 minutes before the crash, then he lied about getting out of bed and driving.

Dude's got one of Jim Trafficant's weasels on his head. Now there's a blast from the past... LOL. Too bad he had to screw up and go to jail. He was a hoot for a democrat. I'm sure they were happy to see him hauled off to jail and out of their hair (so to speak).

One possible explanation of why/how the Blue States (LEFTIST STATES) send these egg sucking idiots to Congress, is that they are funded by folks who desire the destruction of the Republic as our Founders envisioned it...
One other possible explanation - is that Liberalism really is a mental illness and the dumb sonsuvbitches really can't help themselves.... They're suicidal- and determined to take us with them!

This isn't the first time he's been escorted home That would make a great FOIA request of the Crapitol Police.

Nancy Pelosi should get to a microphone right now--and announce that she is stepping down from her leadership position the moment that Patches returns from rehab--because Patches represents the highest values of the Democratic Party.
(In case you don't know what those "highest values" are, we are talking about great lying skills including an ability to black out from time to time, lots of inherited family money, sexual promiscuity, preferably with members of both sexes, ideally with children, and hopefully involving rape, and a PHD in high treason from an Ivy League College.)

I can't quote him but basically Major Garrett just wasmn't buying it nor is Shep. Garrett called it an "artful" announcement. LOL. Said Kennedy could have said this yesterday and implied that he only did it today because he knew he was cornered. He and Shep are wondered why he says today that he is addicted to pain pills when yesterday he was merely disoriented from the effects of Ambien and the other drug, neither of which are "pain killers"

that he need medication as heavy as this What pain medication is he addicted to?

The fact that Kennedy was driven home by the MPDC police, instead of to the hospital first for a blood draw is criminal.

Has anyone compared the time from the accident to the press release to that of the Vice President's hunting accident? It would be a shame to let the press use double standards when they hammered the VP for "waiting so long to come forward". /sarc

Personally, just him being bi-polar is enough for me not to want him being a Congressman.

"My 16 yr old daughter suffers from OCD, general anxiety disorder, depression and school phobia. I completely understate his battle. He doesn't need tearing down, he could use some empathy. I'm not a Kennedy fan, but I do understand this type of mental illness." But your daughter didn't go to a bar, get plastered, then get behind the wheel, then give you a detailed account of what happened, and then say she couldn't remember what happened.
With that said, how can you give Kennedy a pass? He's deliberately circling the wagons.

What kind of pain does he have?
We can't imagine the pain of being the "Son of the Swimmer".
