Yeah, sleepwalking. He sleepwalked to the car, sleepdrove to the bar, sleepslammed a few 7&7s, probably sleepgroped a waitress or two, sleepdrove to another bar, sleepchugged a few beers, then sleepdrove down to First Street SE and sleepdoinked his car into a barrier, sleepcalled Daddy on his cellphone, sleepstaggered around the street for a minute, got put in the back of a Capitol Police car, slept all the way home, sleepwalked up the driveway, sleepundressed, and slept.

Then he woke up this morning, looked at the news, and scratched his head. "WTF?"

Hey, it's no less plausible than "I dove multiple times trying to get her out of the submerged car."

Maybe Joan will want to renegotiate:

http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=137996

Joan Kennedy’s presence at her children’s social events marks a drastic change from last year when she squared off with her children in court over her care and the sale of the family’s Hyannisport estate.

The Kennedy children sought to force her into treatment and tried to block her from selling their childhood home.

A last-minute deal was struck to avoid a potentially embarrassing trial that required Joan Kennedy to enter treatment and put her financial affairs under the watch of a court-appointed guardian. In December, she sold the home, valued at as much as $6 million.

That's what I wondered, if there was a bar tab somewhere. (Kennedy will pay him off.)

The lawyer on Fox just said Patrick just admitted it on national TV, so they can and probably will charge him.

"It isn't just for alcohol anymore, and while it's harder to prove without toxocology evidence, it's not impossible."

His admission to taking drugs is sufficient for conviction. At least here in AZ.

WASHINGTON - Rep. Patrick Kennedy (news, bio, voting record) said Friday he was entering treatment for addiction to prescription pain medication

They never said why he was in so much pain that he need medication as heavy as this. Most have some type of major surgery or injury. What did Ted Jr. do to injure himself so badly? Pop a zit?

Well, Mike Barnicle just paid the Rush card: he said that there won't be as much sympathy for Patrick "out in the heartland" than there was for Rush.

Barnicle or barnacle (the one you scrape off the bottom of a boat)?

Seriesly, I dom't remember Rush (or Brett Favre, for that matter) crashing a vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

Why write a new one? Just use the one Ted did and leave out the part about "the unfortunate death."

If ONLY Burke Marshall could be brought back from the dead, this would all work out just fine for him.

Hell, he'll probably get elected to the Senate now!

You know he learned it from growing up as a Kennedy. That's all they know. Makes me appreciate growing up as poor folk and having morals.

Everytime some Kennedy comes along with yet another of these “I am facing my problems for myself and my family” speeches (only after they get caught wrecking the car, killing a girl, raping the babysitter, etc.) I always wonder who the dopes are who fall for this crap.

Wonder, no more. They all post on DU.

9. Very nicely done.
He drew the teeth of the scandal, and managed to come across as courageous and dedicated.

In case you couldn’t figure out she’s a historically ignorant dumbass by the words she writes, she’s kind enough to include an avatar of that mass-murderer Che in the post, to remove any doubt.

Isn't is nice to know we're voting these pot heads into office

Exactly, if he is so sorry about what he did after being in previous rehabs, he should resign from office, get straightened out and then come back and be reelected if he wants to continue his "noble representation" of the people.
