CNN reports Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) will hold a press conference today at 3 p.m. in Washington, D.C. to discuss his recent traffic incident on Capitol Hill.
im predicting that maybe...he might admit his drinking problem and seek help...
... and call in Jesse Jackson for spiritual support.
Sleep pub-crawling.
Another Kennedy first!
Notice he seeks treatment for rushLimbaugh's "disease", that could be one of two things:
1) addiction to pain killers.
2) He's too conservative for the Kennedy Klan
- however, we know it's not:
3) a problem with a that lame excuse of "I was sleep driving".
All depends on when he took the drug and how fast the pill works

WASHINGTON - Rep. Patrick Kennedy (news, bio, voting record) said Friday he was entering treatment for addiction to prescription pain medication, a decision made after a highly publicized car crash near the Capitol that he said he cannot recall.
Kennedy, D-R.I., said he plans to seek treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., immediately.
He announced his decision to reporters at a Capitol Hill news conference. He walked in alone, gripped the lectern, cleared his throat and began haltingly.
Kennedy, who has struggled with addiction and depression, said he had checked into the Mayo Clinic over the Christmas holidays and returned to Congress "reinvigorated and healthy."
"Of course, in every recovery, each day has its ups and downs, but I have been strong, focused and productive since my return," Kennedy said in a statement obtained by The Associated Press.
The congressman said he became concerned about his condition after the Thursday morning car accident.
"I simply do not remember getting out of bed, being pulled over by the police, or being cited for three driving infractions," Kennedy said. "That's not how I want to live my life. And that's not how I want to represent the people of Rhode Island."
As he was leaving the room, Kennedy was asked whether he might resign, and he shook his head no. "I need to stay in the fight," he said.
The congressman's father, Sen. Edward Kennedy (news, bio, voting record), D-Mass., issued a supportive statement in which he said he's proud of his son for admitting his problem and taking steps to correct it.
"He has taken full responsibility for events that occurred ... and he will continue to cooperate fully with any investigation," the elder Kennedy said.
Dude's got one of Jim Trafficant's weasels on his head. That hair helmet must explain why he wasn't injured in either of his crashes the past couple weeks.

Or he drank their stocks dry!
Very true. The guy that Shep just had on said that Swimmer Jr. isn't out of the woods on the DUI charge. It isn't just for alcohol anymore, and while it's harder to prove without toxocology evidence, it's not impossible.
Oh, yeah, that's gonna happen.
OMG, MSNBC has resurrected Mike Barnicle, their in-house talking head on the Kennedys!
Sleep walking?
Scuse me?
When Kennedy first started speaking, I thought he was about to invoke the McGreevey defense.."I am a gay American.."
And that says more about Scarborough than it does about Kennedy.
Oh yeah they're up every two years, I was thinking the House had the same election cycle as the Senate.
Amen.
"Taking full responsiblity" would mean this.
Operating a motor vehicle while drunk and on drugs is a crime.
Kennedy doesn't mean that kind of "responsiblity." Oh, no.
He means this - an nice cushy room at the Minnesota rehab facility.
LOL.
I am so furious; I have a houseful of people here and a big party tonight I've got to get ready for -- and I do NOT wanna be doing that right now.
*LOL* {{Nod, nod, wink, wink}}
What do you want to bet that the usual lamestream media idiots (I don't mean Major) who reported gleefully on the Bush twins, Nicole Bush, and Rush getting busted will complain that everybody is on a witch hunt with respect to Kennedy? I expect to see that sort of hypocrisy any minute now.
He was soooo imparied the one thing he said was what all Congressmen know to say when you get into a fix: That you are doing official business.....as long as it is official business - even at 2:45am - you are given a get out of jail card!
Me thinks he is being o'h so clever, and devious, just like all the Kennedy's!
