A woman from St. Paul was wounded this week near Cincinnati during a freeway shootout that killed the assistant to top-selling rap artist T.I.
Janice Gillespie, 22, part of an entourage that included T.I., was hospitalized in stable condition.
The rapper, whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., was not hurt. But Philant Johnson, 26, his assistant, was slain during a shootout Wednesday.
The shooting was the latest in a string of violent incidents involving hip-hop artists during the past month.
Cincinnati police said the 3 a.m. shootout between Harris' entourage and unidentified locals may have carried over from an earlier squabble at an after-hours party at Ritz, a Cincinnati-area nightclub. Harris had performed late Tuesday night at another venue.
Witnesses told the Cincinnati Enquirer that the trouble started when some men at the club became upset after someone from the rapper's entourage threw money from the stage. Harris and his entourage left the after-hours party, but men in two sport utility vehicles followed, police said.

The "Music Of Peace"?
As long as they glorify violence and lawlessness, the loss of a few of them should not be of much concern. Just so we keep the innocent bystanders out of line of fire.
They could put it in an arena on pay-per-view. "This Saturday on rapper shoot-out...."
I sure won't miss them. AMF rappers.
