Maybe we can have a televised trial, complete with the Officers face covered with a moving blue spot, 8 X 10 color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and paragraphs on the back explaining what each is to be used as evidence against him, before he is found innocent and knighted for having to undergo the indignity of having to be looked upon by mere mortal commoners?

And he admits it. From my reading of the law, it is unlawful to operate a motor vehicle under the influence of ANY drug, whether OTC, prescription, legal, or illegal.

Right, he reveals this like somehow it's more responsible to take a sleeping pill and drive than it is to drink and drive?

Both parents are alcoholics - what are the odds that he also has a drinking problem?

Incredible.

Sure he was,but the top brass drove him home and gave him time to sober up.

Kinda like his Dad when he took his little swim

I despise the Kennedys---they've been getting away with this crap for a long time.

Doesn't Ambien advertise "don't take this medication unless you can devote at least 8 hours to sleep" and something about "don't drive unless you know how the medication will affect you"?

So he WAS under the influence

EXACTLY!!

What pray-tell is the difference? Use of drugs [legal or illegal] or alcohol in the operation of a motor vehicle are BOTH violations.

Why is his admitted use of "DRUGS" rather than alcohol somehow a MITIGATING factor?

His constituents should be livid. Here is a Rep who ADMITTEDLY is using mind altering drugs, gets behind the wheel of a car and heads to CONGRESS to VOTE on a bill!!!!!!!!

Unbelievable!!
