My wife really wants to go to Brooklyn (Brooklyn Dodger fan) and there is a person who has lived near there for 50 years who wants to show us around.

I told her, if we go, we'll proceed to the old Ebbetts Field site, jump out, take a photo of the plaque, jump back in and get the hell out of Dodge.

LOL, funny, that seemed to appease her. I told her we should wait until the new Yankee Stadium is built...it's supposed to replicate the Ebbetts Field entry rotundra.

If your friend knows the subway system, use that. He'll know when and where to travel. You'll save a bundle and nothing is faster to get around.

Don't you love that phrase "alcohol was involved." He had one beer with lunch. The accident occured hours later. Dick Cheney is not a drunk. Apparently, Patrick Kennedy is.

One beer just makes me want some popcorn.

At my weight, it's at least 3 - 4 beers an hour before I'm legally drunk.

Good thing I can't drink 3 beers an hour... "too filling!" although it "tastes great!"

I would think that Dick Cheney is smart enough not to drink and play with guns in front of the Secret Service. LOL. Pat Kennedy has a long sad history of alcohol related problems. Both his parents are alcoholics. I am sorry but driving without running lights and crashing into a security barrier at 2:45 AM does not pass the sniff test. He was impaired, not that they will do anything about it, but still.

I'm in the presence of greatness. Your Dad left B'klyn a few years before I discovered baseball and the Dodgers. Pee Wee, Roy, Duke, Jackie, Gil, Oisk...Those were my first heroes. When they left, I turned my attention to the NY Rangers. Ebbet's field had moved to the balcony of the old Garden.
