There is always an alternative. If parents don't like what is going on in public schools, their only alternative is to remove their children. The public schools cannot be reformed. It is simply not possible. It is a one-way ratchet to ever increasing levels of depravity.
The public schools are going to get your money, no matter what. Make sure they don't get your precious children as well.
Is this a joke? I have never considered home schooling before but I am seriously considering it. I just heard that 6 public schools in Dallas, starting next year, will have mandatory spanish for all students entering Kindergarten. Not english, SPANISH. This is a test only, but geez louise. This is only the beginning.

I also remember Sheila Kuehl from periodic stints as a character in the Beverly Hillbillies - a commie college student who tries to get Jethro to revolt against the "oppressors" who are making them live in the crude cabin by the cement pond.
