One of my siblings visited Mexico with a group of friends a few years back. They were enjoying the evening on a remote beach when a group of armed "police" officers(Greeting Ambassadors ) arrived and threatened to throw then in jail if my brother and his buddies didn't give them money.

There's a real mix of LEGAL immigrants in my neighborhood, too, and life is very normal and friendly everyday. I always chuckle at these leftwing loons who try to portray Middle America as some all-white bastion of xenophobic racism.

Some countries I can immediately count as represented are: Japan, Philippines, India, Mexico, Canada, Columbia, Taiwan, Korea, China, and Puerto Rico.

I've felt that way as well. The definition of "immigrant", according to Webster's dictionary is, "a person who comes to a country to take up permanent residence". It does not differentiate between legal or illegal. Either way, I'm against "illegal" aliens, or "illegal" immigrants.
