Eyewitness News has learned the same HISD principal who decided to fly the Mexican flag next to the American flag on school grounds has resigned.
Robert Pambello told HISD on April 22 he is resigning for personal reasons. In late March, Pambello put up a Mexican flag outside the school to fly alongside the US flag. That incident happened while many immigration protests were taking place both in Houston and around the country.
"Being a bonehead."
meanwhile Laura Bush is reported as saying regarding the national anthem, "I don't think there's anything wrong with singing it in Spanish."
He must have been given an offer he couldn't refuse!
Perhaps someone checked his legal status.
"alongside"?
I thought it was raised above an upside down US flag. But then there were numerous such raisings.
Were there 2 poles (one Texas, one US)? How else could they fly 2 distinct flags "alongside"?
And don't let the door hit you...
Adios, amigo.
I AM SORRY!
The Term "BONEHEAD" that I adore, and use all of the time is NOW being reconstructed into a "Racial thing".
It no longer means someone with 'bones' in their head, i.e.
'sans brains' as opposed to grey matter in your head which is indicative of 'brains'..
I'm sorry..
what planet are we now inhabiting?...
oopps! My bad!
Inhabiting leads to co- habiting...
which I guess is now okay,
as long as the co habitor
has equal rights under the gay rights shepherd's law!!
Yeahh, that's it.. now I feel good..
Was that Okay with you guys?
..either the MSM is parsing words or she is, ..what upsets the average American citizen is CHANGING the words.
he is resigning for personal reasons
he was embarassed about his own lack of judgement
>>meanwhile Laura Bush is reported as saying regarding the national anthem, "I don't think there's anything wrong with singing it in Spanish."<<
If that's true, she can go milk a horse.
Adios Jughead.
did he get an early retirement package????
Neither do I, as long as their in MEXICO. But if your on U.S. soil, it should be ENGLISH.
I just got an email today that told of an even called "An Evening with Jane Fonda" being canceled for "family reasons". The real reason: they had only sold 40 tickets in an 1800 seat venue.
I emailed the H.I.S.D. office, complaining about his lack of judgment.
Perhaps lots of Houstonians did the same!
Anything Spanish language promoted by politicians should upset any American with kids, since we are threatened to have our kids taken from us if we dont send the to school and learn English.
Furthermore it can be shown that immigrants legal or not will learn English within a generation, and that 2/3 or more immigrants that come from Latin America are illegal, so that anyone using Spanish has a high probability of being a recent arrival which follows a high probability of entering the country illegally,
Generally speaking, accepting Spanish is catering to lawbreaking, and is a slap in the face to legal parents who are forced by law and to teach and prepare their kids for their future using English, and is also detrimental to those who might benefit better economical by the language used most around the world by nations and cultures who have prospered.
Two bad practices: 1) printing ballots in two languages, and (2) letting the children with illegal parents enroll in school. Another, as you say, is making too many concessions to Spanish. I can think of two really good arguments against biliguralism: (1) Canada and (2) Belgium. You are inviting disunion.
