"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "The show show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

The freezer is hanging in there. It looks like there will be 4 extra days of food. But, how did you know me so well. The To-Do-List will be done Saturday (and maybe all night) until Sue gets home at 2:45 p.m. Sunday..
