Why doesn't Ford just focus on making cars and improving sales?
Sheesh.

Gee I have not bought a Ford since my first car in 1975. I guess I was ahead of the game.

I doubt that it's the gay ad protest. More likely the fact that they are not selling high mileage vehicles at a time when the price of gas is high.

Some Ford "poofter" must have started this, and the other execs. were too cowardly to block it. It will cost them plenty, now.

The only Ford I ever wanted but this was when few men and women were confused about their sex and Ford could still concentrate on building real cars. This is a 1957 T-Bird.

I called the salesman of the F-250 I was looking at and told him I was going to wait on my purchase because of this. Homosexuality, and especially the promotion of it ranks high in my list of what's wrong with America.

When I complained to Ford they sent this "canned" reply:
Thank you for writing.
At Ford we value diversity among all of our constituents and pride ourselves on strong and clear values respect for our customers, communities, employees, suppliers and dealers; acceptance of our differences; inclusion of different people with different perspectives; and integrity to always do the right thing. We value all people regardless of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation and cultural or physical differences. This is a strong commitment we intend to carry forward with no exception. We are pleased to clear up any misperceptions and get back to doing what we do best - building the best cars and trucks in America.
Thank you again for contacting Ford.
Respectfully,
Customer Relationship Center
Ford Motor Company
My reply to their "canned" response was:
If you pride yourselves with strong and clear values, why do you not advertise on Mike Savage's talk radio? Why do you discriminate against him and his ten million listeners? Why do you feel compelled to advertise on repulsive publications? Why can you not value people without giving them money and insulting millions of others in the process? What kind of logic or justification is that? How stupid do you think we are?
I value all people but do not give money to all. Good luck with Ford products. You will do fine I am sure!
As for me, I bought a Ford in 1957; and returned to the fold in 2001; but will be looking at the Honda and Toyota and other versions of the F-150 instead of Ford because of their destructive and rude behavior! What jerks!

This is really telling on Ford's management. It shows me they're willing to overlook the bottom line. No way would I invest in Ford. Besides that I've long turned against Detroit because they don't even compare with the longevity, quality, or resale value of Toyota or Honda. They can have the gays.

"Ford says the AFA's message is blatantly misleading. The Ford Motor Co. Fund is a sponsor of the gay pride event, but not of the gay marriage ceremony. "The contribution is designated for children's education and a play area -- nothing more," said Ford spokesman Jim Cain."
Boy, that makes me feel better, money's going to gay education program for children. Doh!

Is this supposed to mitigate Ford's position on this?

Just dam...
I have to work the Ford Stockholder's meeting next week.
For me it is just another event which the technical crew are expected to do their best, each and every time, doesn't matter the client. Just finished tonight the Bristol/Myer/Squibb Stockholder Meeting load-out. Last week was DuPont Stockholder Meeting.
Look forward to getting back to doing fun stuff like Broadway shows and making films.
