A passenger airplane flying from Armenia's capital, Yerevan, to the city of Sochi in southern Russia has crashed over the Black Sea, officials say.
The Airbus 320 plane from Armenian Airlines was carrying about 100 people, when it disappeared from radar screens about 0215 (2215GMT Tuesday).
Debris has been seen in the sea, about 6km (four miles) from the coast, says Russia's Emergencies Ministry.

Here's what the Russian information agencies are saying about this crash.

Translation:
"In the vicinity of Black Sea, the first passenger bodies of a fatal A320 crash have been found.
One of the rescue vessels have pulled a female body out of the waters of Black Sea, near the city of Sochi.
There are also the fragments of the fuselage, body remains, luggage and large oil slick is present at an approximate spot where the airliner have gone down
There are roughly 10 rescue and recovery vessels working the site of the crash.
The depth of the ocean is 60-70 meters(roughly 200-230 feet).
Airliners that was on the Yerevan - Sochi route has disappeared from the radar screens while trying to land"
Some details from the news: Tower didn't allow landing due to weather conditions; communication was lost shortly after, when the plain was "making a second circle" (holding pattern? go-around?), at 600 m (2000 ft)
Sounds like very bad weather is the likely cause.
However, I am not the little twit, "COERJ145". I have no idea who that is.

Glad you clarified that, because I wondered. You seemed civil enough over here, but the names were quite similar.
He started 3 or 4 threads on the crash and all were pulled for the same crap he did on the main thread. Normally that is grounds for a 7 day ban but somehow he managed to avoid it.
Good point. Proves how much unfortunate influence the Lame-Stream Media still has.
This crash makes me think that it has been nearly 5 years since a commerical airliner has crashed in America. The last one was the plane that crashed in Queens in November of 2001.
Bump.
