L.A. FOX 11 Tony Valdez - "You killed people to take this country for yourselves" (Audio #289)
John and Ken show ^

Local Fox News in Los Angeles, Channel 11, had an incredible exchange in a segment with John and Ken. J & K were chastizing the press for not showing the other side about all the costs of illegal aliens.
There was a difference of opinion between FOX personnel and John and Ken about the effect of the boycott.
And then there was an amazing statement, actually a monologue for news reporter Tony Valdez. Rather than posing a question to John and Ken, he launched into the whole Reconquista argument, talking about Manifest Destiny and U.S. invasion of Mexico in 1846. He talked about how this country took this part of the world by force and how they do that in Iraq and Iran.
And then this news reporter, news reporter mind you, said, "You took this country. You killed people to take this country for yourselves."
Fox 11 needs to hear from us.

He sounds like an excellent replacement for Katie Couric...

I was going to but I couldn't sleep at all last night and slept in too late to make the trip. Perhaps I'll do it on Sinko de Mayo. I doubt if anyone would have noticed in Loveland, CO anyway. Everyone was in Denver that was protesting.

I was just listening to CNN, Larry King, Lou Dobbs and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher. Rohrabacher hit the bail on the head, He aid: The American people no longer trust the Republicans, Democrats, Presidents past, and present. The American want the problem solved and our borders protected NOW.

John and Ken were all over it afterwards. They will get lots of mileage.

Why are these people acting as if this is about LAND? We have no better land or resources. What we have that they need is a government where the rule of law prevails and all people are considered equal under the system of laws without appeal to emotionality. Oddly, this very basic reason for our relative success is the FIRST thing they want to throw away. I am tired of people admiring them for "wanting a better life and coming here to get it". Who doesn't want the best possible life? The more moral thing to do is to fix the place you are living so it will be better for everybody and for your own descendents. That is what our ancestors did. They lost lives and fortunes to build this system.

It is their excuse to invade. They claim it used to belong to their ancestors, so they have the right to get it back from the gringos.

Hopefully this is a sign that the open borders lobby is finally starting to fall apart.
An alliance of Communists and ultra right-wing Libertarians is not exactly a marriage made in heaven.

I kind of thought their absence would bring a sense of peace and joy. Now they have to go back to work in America and enjoy our increased displeasure with their presence. They will either have to keep doing these marches or appear to accept defeat because it looks like Congess will play election year football with this for months to come.
"Welcome to America, pindejo! Where Congress plays us all for fools, fool."

Give LA and SF back to Mexico? Sure, once we've collapsed the buildings and the entire infrastructure. Let them start from scratch like we did.

He might as well be one of Saddam's henchmen. He's worse! He's one of L.A. best-loved "newsmen!" Grr..rr..rr...
I am still savoring this lovely day (on the westside) and my nostalgia for the America that once was.
I DID NOT HEAR SPANISH SPOKEN all day long!! The Mexicans/illegals all did as they were told and went somewhere else. The streets themselves breathed a sigh of relief as they were not overburdened with gridlock traffic for once. All the gardens and yards were happy to not be molested by sullen lawn mower pushers and weed whackers, not to mention that giant pestilence, the leaf blower.
No screaming kids running up and down the store aisles, pulling everything down; all the merchandise neatly arranged on the shelf and the rack. There was order everywhere instead of chaos.
The John and Ken tape of the Tony Valdez incident just replayed on radio. One of Tony's quotes on behalf of the illegals: "We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us."
Stuff a sock in it, homie.

Karl said that at the beginning of the LA riots, the first thing they did was shut down the sale of all ammo...so yes. NOW IS the time.No more procrastinating from me! Gee, is CA marking it and keeping track of it yet? I never can remember which gun laws are in effect and which they are just threatening!
