An Eye For Beauty
My Human Mom has an Eye For Beauty that often brings
A gentle sense of ease and comfort from so many things
That are found up high and upon shelves and tables
With abilities to seduce and attracts that are as much fact as fable
There are the hard bound Books of paper pages
Whose squiggly lines may draw the rapt attention of sages
Though I enjoy the game of pushing a few off the shelf
Just to make a slick and sensuous Bed just for Myself
There's an assortment of Statues to admire, of course
The most curious one is a handsome Horse
With what look like tree branches rising strong and high
From a pair of roots just between his ears and eyes
I can look at this thing for hours and wonder why
Such an singular sense of Humor is owned by The Great Cat in the Sky?
Who can create such a stately, yet odd looking creature
Then turn my eyes to a delicious Melody of delicate features
Wide and curled and sharp edged leaves seem to reach out to tempt and tease
Below round, thick layers that need no correction
Inching closer, my senses are much more than pleased
As I indulge in these simple examples of Purrrr~fection!
