NEW YORK (CNN) -- We all awoke to headlines in our nation's most important newspapers reminding us that this is "A Day Without Immigrants." Not illegal immigrants, mind you, but immigrants.
USA Today headlined today's demonstrations and boycott "On Immigration's Front Lines." The New York Times headlines its story "With Calls for Boycott by Immigrants, Employers Gird for Unknown." The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times are both calling their coverage "The Immigration Debate."
These major newspapers obviously don't want to disturb their readers with the information that today's demonstrations and boycott are about illegal immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens.

The unions are supporting the illegal immigrant movement, which shows that union leadership favors its internationalist, no-borders ideology more than it values the welfare of its own members. The union members' interests must be sacrificed in order to further the "revolution," just as the Iraqi insurgents' are killing ordinary Iraqis in order to further their agenda.
Doing jobs that Americans won't do now that the wages are rock bottom.
That's a great point. And it points out a much-neglected aspect of the illegal alien debate. The government needs to penalize not only the aliens and their traffickers, but also the employers who hire them, be it knowingly or with criminally negligent ignorance.

PUH-lease!!! There are lots of factors involved in this drop in wages. Better machinery, computers, JIT processing...
Who would seriously pay $19 these days to pack meat..?
Better technology used to lead to the rise of wages, especially of the jobs which are nasty. How much would trash collectors be paid if the illegal aliens could do their jobs?
There is absolute convergence of anti US, anti Western revolutionary groups and this "movement" - the selection of Commie Day (aka May Day) for their big protest was no coincidence.
Those numbers certainly take a nose dive under Der Bush, huh?
That is the KEY !!!
In conversations with mixed political levels always use the word Illegal Alien.
Everytime a lib says immigrant,You say Illegal Alien.
Hopefully, people will figure out the whole debate is about Illegal Aliens.
The numbers tell the tale.
But others, like Juan Jose Gutierrez, whom I've interviewed a number of times over the past several months, manages to be both director of Latino Movement USA and a representative of ANSWER.
As Gutierrez told us on my show, "The time has come...where we need to stand up and make a statement. We need to do what the American people did when they pulled away from the British crown. And I am sure that back in those days many people were concerned that was radical action."
