Savage is like the drunk know-it-all who shows up at a town meeting who you don't want to ever agree with you because he makes you look like an idiot by being remotely associated with him.

Also, yes, he IS leading on the borders and illegals - FAR MOR IMPORTANT than Rush.

Gleeful excitement, sure. Savage loves to stick it to Rush whenever he can. Frankly, I don't blame him.
Savage stuck up for Rush when he first had these legal problems. His support was clear, unambiguous, and nonjudgmental. Thing is Rush has descended into self parody - praising idiotic moves Dubya does as genius only goes so far for listeners with a working brain.
Savage hams it up but he calls it like it is.

An apology or correction is certainly in order, but no biggie if it doesn't come.
Savage was running with the wrong initial reports. He knows better. But he has negativity towards Rush because he perceives Rush as a shallow GOP shill.
That characterization is not inaccurate.
