PRESIDENTIAL NEWS OF THE DAY: President and Mrs. Bush attended St. John's Church this morning, as is their custom when spending the weekend at the White House. Last night they attended the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner, where the President and his "alter ego," comedian Steve Bridges, stole the show.
The best review I found is on USA Today's website. Since I'm not sure how much of their material we can excerpt, I'll just provide a link. The article includes a nearly complete transcript of the President's and Mrs. Bridges routine.

Looks like Ace won a tour of Burbank--LOL! Did Jay drive him around the parking lot or something? :)
Definitely Steve from F & F. And not only is Harmon married, so is Steve. Wife Kathy, son Peter and daughters Mary and Sally. Probably just a coincidence. They DO know each other because Harmon is someone they have on a lot to comment about National Intelligence matters. She is the ranking Dem on the House Intel Committee and I've seen her on Fox News and F & F many times.
LOL! Sure was. The expression on GWB's face while his alter ego delivered the zingers was priceless.
"All that's missing is Hillary Clinton sitting in the front row, rolling her eyes." Still LOL!!
Doesn't the caption say something about Ace winning a trip to Paris? Or did I misread it? Or is it Paris, Kentucky? ;-)
Don't forget Paris, TX...
:o)
Yeah. We can't see who else was with them when that shot was snapped.

"Intelligence" in Washington is a sometime thing. ;-)
I see enough of Harmon in the district where I live. She ran for governor, finished 3rd in the Dim primary, then ran for her old congressional seat again. Don't need to see her on my TV also. Barf!
If you want, I'll gladly add you to the Idol ping list, Oldfriend.
If there is an AI thread
IF??? ;) We'll be starting our third thread this week!

After all that the government decides it's your partner????????
Our farmer friend inherited when his dad died. They had worked the farm for over fifty years. Dairy farming 24/7 and 365. When the farmer sold off a piece of the land due to taxes, the IRS was at the closing and took just about all of the sale money.
Yes, LOL! Although Paris, KY seems more appropriate. It's smack in the middle of horse country.
LOL! Karl is such a dork. I don't have many pictures of Karl in a tux...those are added to my collection.
Cool! Just in time for the top 5 to do their thing. :)
Or this Paris :)
LOL...just freepmailed you......thanks I'll be looking forward to the ping.
Yep :) I want to get the current thread over 10,000 first and that probably won't happen until Tuesday night. So Hopefully the new thread will be ready to go on Wednesday morning.
Terrific pictures!
Thanks for taking the trouble to post them.
You are writing that to perhaps the strongest anti-tax person on this forum. Taxation at all levels of government is so rapacious and out of control that one day I think we may not be able to keep anything we earn or acquire. What they don't outright admit to is a tax, they call a "fee," or a "fine." (They criminalize more and more behavior mostly to be able to collect fines.) They tack "fees" onto all sorts of things. Phone and utility bills, for example. Government greed is the worst.
By all accounts, he has a WONDERFUL sense of humor.
Yes, or that Paris -- but would Jay be sending Ace to her? ;-)
You've been added :)
