Dear Sara,

I am deeply sorry for your troubles but I'm having a hard time believing you. I worked for years at a family homeless shelter on the weekends (and lots of times during the week) feeding and housing people who had fallen on hard times. We also renovated housing we bought for families to live in.

Our biggest supporters were the CHURCHS and volunteer CHURCH groups. The most hardcore liberal, DNC, marxist, power-to-the-people dude I knew would NEVER volunteer to help these people no matter how many times I asked him.

Many of the single women with children we cared for had NEVER had a job, didn't know who their children's daddies were and had always been taken care of by the government. One of our requirements was that before we moved them into one of our homes they had to get a job.

So I'm just having a hard time believing your church wouldn't help you but who knows.

One of our requirements was that before we moved them into one of our homes they had to get a job.

Does that mean you didn't offer homes to those who most needed them? For example, women who were disabled and could not support themselves, and women whose partners were terrorizing them to the point where they dared not leave their children with anyone, and thus dared not take a job?
Welfare puts people in homes too, and requires them to get a job. I will admit you were better than welfare if you didn't contact the stalking psychopathic partner and give him his victim's address.
