MISSION VIEJO - Sandra Sweet was 8 the last time she did anything political in public. She thinks.
She has this vague memory of being a little girl when her father took her to a political rally in Washington, D.C., that involved the Vietnam War and something about "a march for victory."
So it's surprising that Sweet, 45, is organizing a "pro-American" rally in Santa Ana on Monday to counter what some are calling "the Great American Boycott." Armed with her e-mail address book and a sense of alarm Sweet is taking the first political action of her adult life.

"They don't wave back, and avoid any eye contact.Very strange and rude! Not very neighborly imo:("
Well, just do what I plan to do. I bought 2 Mexican flags yesterday that I plan to take with me to look for any illegal alien demonstrations. If I find any I will burn the flags for them. I will also look for any businesses that seem to be closed in support of illegals and will refuse to do any business with them!
The next door neighbors i mentioned earlier are a typical family.Husband, wife and kids, they just won't acknowledge me.However, there are a couple houses in my neighborhood that are(or sound)similar to what you refered to.If the people i see sitting out front are residents of the homes, they must be packed in like sardines. What gets me is these are almost exclusively young men,20's to mid 40's,and they sit out front all day long drinking beer.I don't think they work. But it's the looks i get when i drive by.Hostility that's palpable.
LOL.Do you have life insurance?
Is your state senator Charles Duncan? He is mine (in Hawley,Tx.) His web page has everything in either english or spanish. I called his office to let him know I thought it was outrageous, if his constituents cannot speak english
they are highly suspect. He is just another closet liberal that calls himself a conservative.
Bumping your post.
Here in San Francisco two of our Chinese supervisors wanted to LEGALLY give non-citizens the right to vote in city schools issues. Even here in the leftie city, that measure was voted down.
All 11 million illegals voting? Baloney. And THAT was my point. They don't all vote....and you both know that.
You sound exactly like lawyers. You can't say to a lawyer, "Look at the blue sky." They will say, "Yeah, but....." and cite the OBVIOUS exceptions (like voter fraud in my statement about 11 million illegals don't vote)) and think that they are really ADDING something to the conversation. Double baloney.
You don't need to do much. Throw blood or something that looks like blood on the first flag. Go potty on the second flag and hang them both upside down. These people declared war on us first. They will understand the messaage.
My loyalties, not that they should be questioned any more than anyone else's here, are with the America....the nation (at one time state/republic) that 6 generations of my ancestors have sent sons/fathers/husbands to fight for and defend. My loyalties are with the nation in which I and 6 generations of my family have been born. My loyalties are for a nation where there exist are GOOD American neighbors of all ethnicities and BAD American neighbors of all ethnicities. My loyalties are for a nation that should close the borders against illegal immigration and protect our sovereignty. My loyalties are for a nation where I had hoped to live out a life where I wouldn't be treated as part of a non-existent monolithic ethnic group, but as an individual instead.
I'm NOT leaping to their defense. I'm pointing out that perhaps they're just jerks and not necessarily illegal jerks.
Can I pee on them before you burn them?
See #90. And I'm NOT of "Mexican" descent. I'm of "Texian" ancestry and Spanish/Indian descent.
I'm also very sad that a combination of an Administration without intestinal fortitude/a loud pro-illegal and illegal minority/and too quick assumptions have resulted in anybody questioning MY loyalties.
My state Senator is Bob Duncan. I also detest having to search my way for English through everything from the McDonald's menu to the baking directions on frozen food.
The correct figure is 25 million illegal aliens. You were low-balled by the obvious people.
Como este mi casa. I finally acquired the components for the best coffee you ever tasted. Cafe con leche con anis- steaming hot licorice coffee with steamed milk! It was a chore getting Spanish Anis liquor here in the crystal litro. It will be tasted from on rare occasaions.
Change the name!
Why? It doesn't infer anything specifically about Mexico....it's a nod to my family being here at the time of the Republic, my heritage, and the fact that I'm Republican and hispanic, which liberals despise. I've no problem with FReeper names that start with "Celtic" or "Irish"; so I don't think mine is a problem.
Oh, and Don't change your name:')
This is true, and I do the same when in a foreign country as a visitor (although I would have a problem covering my head in a a Muslim country); but I don't think the illegals coming here consider themselves to be Americans or even would-be Americans; and they don't even afford us, the Americans, the type of "visitor" respect of which you speak. It's because they're not really visitors, but intruders/trespassers.
