Right now the leader of Monday's boycott is on CSPAN. I heard it on CSPAN radion, not sure which channel.

I really would like to know whats gonna on inside Bush's head right now. I don't understand why he is so stubborn on this issue. Can't he see if he grants amnesty hes done? I really like Bush alot, and i hope and pray he changes his mind.

My impression is that this is going to backfire. Starting the Los Angeles march at 4PM... GUARANTEED to make a LOT of Los Angeles commuters mad as hell. Even those that would have been sympathetic to the illegals otherwise.

The Detroit News union workers here in Detroit blocked traffic during the morning commute a few years back. All it did was PiZZ off a whole bunch of commuters, the union would end up losing their fight, and the Detroit News closed down a plant. I concur, they'll just PIZZ off the very people they need to convince, me included.

If they do stay home and boycott and there's not a noticable difference, that might really hurt them.

Also, my guess is the planning originators of this event really do not care about illegals. This is based on the fact that as a law abiding owner of businesses located within California, I have not, I do not and I never will employ an illegal alien. Believe me, I can tell a true American citizen in just a couple of minutes of conversation. Therefore, the boycott will have absolutely no effect on my businesses. The businesses that I can foresee having significant problems are those very businesses that employ said illegals. Therefore, the boycotter's are sealing their own fate by not only harming the illegal business that employs them, they will also help to illustrate to the legal American community just who those businesses are.

It would make a good point, but one difference between Mexico and the US is that Mexico enforces their laws against illegal aliens and treat foreigners very poorly.

The protesters would wind up in a dirty cell with little legal recourse.

If only we would adopt Mexico's stance on illegal immigration - our problem would be solved!

I think that even the most apathetic and stupid Americans are ticked at all the Mexicans just everywhere. In all the Walmarts, Targets and just about anywhere you go no matter where you live you hear them speaking Spanish to each other.Sometimes I just want to shout "speak English, this is America". I think most Americans old and young educated and uneducated are sick of them.

Send them one of these instead of a donation, using the RNC's own postage paid return envelopes!!!

Agree. Give them a chance to sit for 1 or more hours for a spanish speaking clinician or come now with a very limited speaking one... they come out like roaches when the lights are turned on.
