QUOTE OF THE DAY: THE PRESIDENT: "This good news cannot be taken for granted. With gas prices on the minds of Americans, we need to keep our foot on the pedal of this strong economy. The surest way to put the brakes on our economic growth would be to raise taxes or spend too much of the people's money here in Washington. That's why I'm going to continue to work with Congress to make the tax relief that helped spur this economic growth permanent. That's why I'm going to work with Congress to restrain the federal government's appetite for spending. And that's why I'm going to work with Congress to make this country less dependent on foreign sources of oil."

Ok, I can be objective because I have no personal reaction to the film, as I haven't seen it. (I know, I might also be suffering from terminal ignorance about it...).
Just taking what you two have posted, plus what Rush and other pundits/FReepers have said, I think the filmmaker tried to make an "objective" film. Someone said think "DocuDrama" and that probably fits best. In this objective look back at that day and this flight, religion played a huge roll for the bad guys. That is just a fact. GWB says they hijacked a religion to excuse their cold-blooded murder; others say the religion itself is the problem...either way the perps looked at it as their religion animating them.
I know you understand that, Patty, not saying you don't. Your concern was the apparent moral equivilance of the two sides. That Islamofascist wannabes can look at the film and get from it a great boost for THEIR SIDE, just like we get one for OUR SIDE. My thought, without seeing the movie yet, is that historical fact rules the day on this. Ordinary American citizens overcame these religious zealot, murdering bozos ON THIS OCCASION. No one can deny that this is the outcome shown in the film, and that this is what happened in real life.
Rush said that he has heard of people, and himself seen them in a private screening, filing quietly and reverently and OBVIOUSLY VERY ANGRILY from theaters after viewing the film.
It might be that our enemies would also feel psyched up, but I wonder. The fact is, American citizens (NOT the government) stopped highly trained and highly motivated terrorists from doing their worst to America. Even an objective film about that still tells a powerful story because.....it is the TRUTH!
