Press Release Source: Rush Limbaugh Reports Stating Rush Limbaugh Was Arrested Are Inaccurate; Limbaugh's Attorney Holds Press Conference at 8:00 pm Tonight
Friday April 28, 7:55 pm ET
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- A spokesman for Rush Limbaugh said some news reports that state Mr. Limbaugh was arrested are inaccurate.Separately, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, Roy Black will hold a press conference at 8:00 pm this evening at the Marriott Hotel at 1001 Okeechobbee Road in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Mr. Black will discuss the agreement reached today with the State Attorney's Office whereby a single count charge of doctor shopping that was filed today by the State Attorney will be dismissed in 18 months.
As previously announced, a primary condition of the dismissal, Mr. Limbaugh must continue to seek treatment from the doctor he has seen for the past two and one half years. This is the same doctor under whose care Mr. Limbaugh has remained free of his addiction without relapse.
Mr. Black stated, "Mr. Limbaugh and I have maintained from the start that there was no doctor shopping, and we continue to hold this position. Accordingly, we filed today with the Court a plea of 'Not Guilty' to the charge filed by the State.
"As part of this agreement, Mr. Limbaugh also has agreed to make a $30,000 payment to the State of Florida to defray the public cost of the investigation. The agreement also provides that he must refrain from violating the law during the 18 month period, must pay $30 per month for the cost of "supervision" and comply with other similar provisions of the agreement.
"Mr. Limbaugh had intended to remain in treatment. Thus, we believe the outcome for him personally will be much as if he had fought the charge and won," he said.

I didn't read the book, but didn't the teacher tell Dan to add the letter e to the word potato? The book I am currently reading is about all the Clinton conspiracies. It's a pretty thick book.
"I've scrolled through the entire thread and haven't found RS crowing about being right. What gives?
LOL!! I was wondering where he was too! "
Thanks for the ping - actually been busy and missed it.
It will be interesting to read the details.
The reality is this:
Limbaugh returns on Monday...and the Monday after that...and the Monday after that. His audience on Monday will big...really, really big. He will go on getting the attention of millions. He will go on MAKING millions. There's no victory in this for the Left...or Limbaugh's competitors. Some people cannot separate wishes from reality...pathetic.
hahahahaha! Pathetic DUmmies!!!
So... what's the "first thing" about this case that hodaka didn't know ?
See my post on post number 60. By the way, didn't your mama ever tell you that it's not nice to call names?
Isn't that how they report all the news?
The BBC started its report this way: "Rush Limbaugh is arrested..." then described the actual process which clearly shows he was not!
How Clintonesque do you want this to be ?
Was he charged with a crime ?
Did he turn himself in ?
Was he booked ?
Was he then subsequently released ?
Unless you are under the impression that at any point, such as when fingerprints and photos were taken he could have simply walked out - he WAS under arrest.
Yah, that WOULD be a thick one! lol
I'd have to look for the book, but Quayle said he was correcting one of the students who had put an "e" on the end of potato. Said the press made it about an error that HE made. Even back when I first read the book, I could believe it.
Who would you believe... Dan Quayle or anyone from the MSM?
I'm not sure that's right. If I recall correctly, the kid wrote "potato." Quayle indicated that it wasn't quite right, so the student added the 'e'.
But in the larger sense, who cares?! When was that, 1992?
You put your finger on one of the problems these days...people assume "arrested" implies guilt. Without that misconception in their minds, there would be no problem with releasing the names of suspects in rape cases, yet with the public's perception, there's now a double standard between accused and alleged victims.
To be fair, I believe we should say that Rush Limbaugh was "under arrest," but that shouldn't be implying guilt.
It's the "seriousness of the charge" - not the facts that count.
And .. if you believe that .. you're dumber than a rock.
OK I take back the liberal insult, but LImbaugh was not arrested but instead made a deal with the politically motivated prosecutor.
Is Limbaugh is an arrogant blow hard? Let's say for argument's sake that he is, but that's not why there was an attempt to take him down. The reason for this is because he is an effective spokesman for the conservative movement.
That was the media's version, as I recall. But as I said, I'd have to find the book to say for sure.
What a pathetic and wimpy distortion of reality to try to twist this thread into a Bush Bash.
There's nothing to PARDON Rush for, you ijit.
The MSM continues to sink farther than anyone thought they could go. Truth means nothing to them if they can nail a conservative.
It just doesn't make sense to arrest someone, then drop the charges...unless of course it was all political..
The only thing we know for sure is that the MSM lies about everything. They wanted us to think this was a new arrest and that Rush was in trouble again............and that definitely is nothing but political.
Yes, Dan got a bummed rap through out his term. I was only using it as an example( maybe a bad one ) that just because someone misspelled a word or two, which I do on a regular basis that their argument now has no merit.
