This is my first vanity post, so be nice!

I just heard on FoxNews that the meat packing company "Tyson" will be closing Monday to allow their employees so march in the protest on May 1st, whihc is this coming Monday. Are they an American company? They seem to forget they it's "Americans that purchase their product and keep them in business.... I also left them an email on thier website stating my feelings on them supporting this protest march...

Okay, I feel better now..... Thank you! Pleasse also go to the Tyson website and leave them an email as to how you feel....

You are pretty much going to have to boycott all meat products. Illegal immigrants make up a substantial portion of the meat processing work force throughout this country.
You might want to consider boycotting fruits and vegetables as well since many of those are picked by illegals.
Grains are probably still safe, though not exactly Atkins friendly.

Tyson has our politicians well-bribed. They've bought their free-pass from ICE/INS.

Just sent:

"I have just learned that you intend to close some of your plants so that your illegal workers can protest in favor of rights for illegal aliens.
This action makes it quite clear where your sympathies lie and it is not with the American people including legal immigrants.
Because of your position, I will no longer purchase any product sold by Tyson Foods, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries."

Tysons has to close. They employ more illegals than any other company in the country. There won't be but a skeleton crew show up anyway.

The total U.S. beef plants to be closed Monday to at least 12 and pork plants to at least 14. Slaughter for both species is expected to be reduced to around 50% or less than normal Monday.

Tyson Foods (TSN) will not operate at five of its nine U.S. beef plants and will have four of six pork plants closed Monday due to a potential shortage of workers.

Cargill Meat Solutions' two pork plants, located in Iowa and Illinois, will be closed Monday along with five of its fed-cattle plants located in Texas, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado.

Indiana Packing Co. of Delphi, Ind., confirmed earlier this week that its plant will be closed on Monday.

Premium Standard Farms confirmed this week that the company will not slaughter hogs Monday at its Milan, Mo., and its Lundy Packing Co. facility in Clinton, N.C

Seaboard Foods will not operate its Guymon, Okla., plant Monday. The Guymon facility is the company's only pork plant.

The U.S. work stoppages at U.S. meat plants Monday are projected to be greater than the work crew reductions seen on April 10, the first time some workers participated in the immigration protests. The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated cattle slaughter that day at 80,000 head and hog slaughter at 337,000.

Well, Fox News also said to watch what businesses are closed on Monday.  They will be the ones that hire the most illegals.  Very interesting about Tyson, eh?

I've been boycotting Tyson since the Clinton years. I don't do Heinz or Ben and Jerry's, either.

I have never bought anything with a Tyson name on it since it came out they bribed BJ Clinton via his HR Clinton to change the law to allow Tyson to sell substandard inspected products.

An American citizen lost his job because of immigrants. He has a family, too.

He works Mon-Fri every week. The immigrants demanded Monday off, and said they'd work Saturday to make it up.
The American had a family, and said he'd rather work his usual shift because he has no interest in the immigration issue, and has children. His boss said he had to appease the immigrants, or be fired.
He did not cave to the immigrants demands and their cowardly boss, and is now an unemployed American citizen with American children to feed. The illegals still have their jobs, of course.

For anyone out there who doesn't know, during the Clinton Administration, Tyson Foods of Arkansas, built a very large number of chicken producing plants in Durango and other border areas in Mexico. I know first hand as I have personally seen rows and rows of these plants out in the bush of Durango.

That seems like a good idea but how do you know they are legal just because they are open? They may just be after the money the other illegals won't get.

Tyson, or any other company that hires ILLEGALS, is to blame for the ILLEGAL ALIEN mess we are in. They are not being "forced" to hire ILLEGALS, they hire them to save the money they would have to pay Americans to do the same jobs.

They are NOT VICTIMS.
