In a just concluded debate and press conference, author and FBI Consultant Paul Williams and Jeff Epstein of "America's Truth Forum" reveal they have been advised by Pakistani journalist and Bin Laden biographer Hamid Amir that Al-Qaeda will use smuggled nukes against the US if the US takes military action against Iran.
Amir established his credentials by correctly predicting that Egypt would be hit by terrorist action a full two weeks prior to the events of last week. Amir, a Pakistani journalist, has been in contact with high ranking Al-Qaeda officials for several years.
The debate (between Richard Miniter and Paul Williams) and press conference were webcast LIVE by Rightalk.com. Audio files of both events will be available for downloading by this afternoon.
Exactly. You will hear the usual garbage like "measured response" or "contain colateral damage" or something like
"are we sure it was state sponsored?"
The mental disorder has truly sunk in.
There's a side of me that would like for them to do it, just so we can get this over with once and for all, take off the gloves and do what should have been done after 9-11.
I think it's laughable that Iran is desperately trying to get 1940's US technology to threaten us with...
To me it's like the American Indians getting a few guns and thinking they have a chance against the US Army.
Shortly After 9/11, I was convinced of the following:
1. We would drop the hammer on the terrorists of all types.; We have done a 75% job on that.
2. We would drill our own oil and move towards more energy and resources independance. We have not done that.
3. We would control our border and kick out all illegal aliens on overstaid visas, those convicted of crimes, etc etc. I will not even say what I want on this since I will get banned.
Although we are doing a decent job on one of the above, our failure to do anything about the other two will lead us to the same final end anyway.
No, he did not. He thought that Tritium, a booster material, was an atomic trigger.
Hollywood can make movies with such nonsense, but that won't make a bomb go bang.
they are NOT 1.6 billion muslims.
Their are 1.6 billion people with a gun to their head being forced to say they are muslims.
Of course we could destroy Iran, but at what cost?
A nuke going off in NYC or LA would literally kill hundreds of thousands.
It worked for rome against the Jews. And I don't remember any enraged jews over the loss of their temple.
You said -- "He knew his business when talking about nuclear triggers."
Well..., I wouldn't be the one to say. However, they were talking about stuff that apparently made some sense to a small group of people. I just wasn't in that small group. What do I know about nuclear triggers?
BUT, I do know that nuclear bombs make a *big boom*. And that's all I need to know in order to make sure that they are kept out of the terrorists hands.

You said -- "Destroying their holy sights and mosques will do nothing but take individuals that want nothing to do with this conflict and enrage them."
Let them be enraged for a while. It will wear off. Then they'll wonder why they ever believed such a lie.

Well now, he's no longer here to dispute that...is he? You have the room all to yourself.
How long is this crap going to float around? It has been a number of years and these fantasies are going strong even though IT WON'T HAPPEN. If these loons had this capacity they would have used it long ago.
one going off in LA would kill mostly democrats and illegal aliens !
*snicker*
IMHO, one thing that bin Laden and the crazy Iranian and others have in common is the return of the Mahdi, the 12th imam. They would save 'the big one' to fit into that prophecy somehow.
As disgusted as I am with illegals and RATS, I don't wish for them being nuked. RATS ,although I disagree with them, are Americans. Illegals need to go home, not be nuked.
You said -- "No, he did not. He thought that Tritium, a booster material, was an atomic trigger."
Well..., I'm not so sure you know what you're talking about either. But that doesn't matter because I'm not going to formulate my opinion of whether bombs are going to be smuggled in this country -- on the basis of nuclear triggers. Where there's a will, there's a way -- as the saying goes.
History is full of disasters that have happened that people said couldn't happen. So, prudent measures require us to assume that it *can happen* and then take measures to act upon that belief.

His posts #92 and #84 both claim, in wild-eyed error, that Tritium is an atomic trigger.
The correct answer, and this is **not** something that nuclear experts would err on, is that Tritium is an atomic booster.
...and the kid would still be here if he hadn't used multiple ID's to spout his same misinformation (note the deleted posts).
Now he's gone, and Free Republic is that much better off without him. No doubt he'll go attempt to spread fear and nonsense elsewhere, now. His type never learn, never change, never grow up.
What surprises me, however, is that you bought his nonsense about gun assemblies not needing triggers, Tritium being a trigger, or whatever else it was that he said that you defended as being correct.
Google is your friend. Use it. The kid was wrong. You don't have to be.
That's about the extent of my knowledge on the subject as well. I know the difference between a chigger and a trigger, and all the SPF in the world ain't gonna help if one is in the vicinity when it goes *boom*.
And that's all I need to know in order to make sure that they are kept out of the terrorists hands.
AMEN!!!!
History is also full of disasters due to people over-estimating their enemies...a mistake as fatal or more so than under-estimating them.
But the kid who got banned wasn't doing either over or under estimating...he was spreading erroneous information such as Tritium being an atomic trigger, gun assemblies not needing triggers, etc.
Hey, you can sit all day and argue about whether he was right or wrong and I wouldn't know which was true or not. Can you only argue the point with someone who has already admitted they don't know squat about nuclear boom booms? I'm no challenge to you on the subject so you must feel confident about anything you say.
