Georgia’s And Ukraine’s Affiliation To NATO Will Make Russia Increase Military Expenditures

Tbilisi. April 27 (Prime-News) – Further expansion of NATO and affiliation of Georgia and the Ukraine will make Russia increase its military expenditures, Mikhail Kamynin, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia says.

Russia has questions to NATO with regard to possible deployment of military bases in its new member states, in particular in Romania and Bulgaria, Mikhail Kamynin was quoted as saying by RIA Novotsi.

"We hope that the alliance will observe its political and legal commitments in terms of military restraint when deciding on the deployment of the bases, and in particular the commitment not to deploy considerable combat forces in new member states," Kamynin said.

According to him, the urgent problem in Russian-NATO relations is ratification of the adopted agreement on conventional armament in the Europe.

Mikhail Kamynin claimed that the agreement, which is in fact already in force, had stopped corresponding to present-day European reality.

Oh well the only thing to do is surrender to Putin and the new Russian empire. No one can compete with their advanced technology.

You are wrong. They are not useless but very useful since they prove that increasing of NATO don't increase overall security but just opposite deminish it. The increasing of NATO and NATO surrounding Russia compels her to produce new "country busters" to counter-balance new threat. That is it.

Abkhasians ia partly christian but Georgian is partly muslim. Didn't you know that?

Do you know why the Butcher of Beslan fought for Abkhazia against the Christian Nation of Georgia? Because muslims want a "right of return" for muslim Abkhazians expelled to Turkey by the Russians in the Seventeenth Century. It's all part of their plan to create a caliphate from the Black Sea to the Caspian. Didn't you know that?

By the way that war which turned so unfortunatley for Georgians, Georgians began themselves!

True, but Georgia didn't attack Russia, Russia attacked Georgia unprovoked in order to annex Abkhazia. Russia thinks it has the right to put down insurrections on its own territory but it does not grant this right to the Georgians it wishes to dominate and humiliate. Russia even sided with the evil Basayev himself to exterminate all Georgians from Abkhazia. This disgusting hypocrisy is why no Georgians have any sympathy at all for Russia's Chechen problems. Why should Georgia side with Russia against the Chechens when Russia sided with Chechens against Georgia?

Georgians was who were invaders but Abkahsians who was invaded.

Yeah, right just like Russia "invaded" Chechnya and Serbia "invaded" Kosovo. Not.

Abkhasian land was joined to Georgia by Stalin

Wrong. Abkhazia was joined to Georgia over a thousand years ago. It was split from Georgia when it was invaded by the Ottoman Turks in the 16th century. Stalin did NOT join Abkhazia to Georgia at all, it was already part of Georgia when the nation was conquered by the Bolshevik monsters in 1921. By splitting Abkazia from Georgia, Russia is doing the work of the foul mohammedans and turning the clock back to the days of the Ottoman jihad, just like Clinton did in Kosovo.

As long as Russia continues to violate the sovereignty of its neighbors, NATO will continue to expand to those countries which want protection from Russia's ravenous and insatiable imperialism.

Exactly, TJ. and that's why NATO needs to expand.

Don't be alarmed when Russia produced one "country buster" for your own country. It will be just answer on your own aggresiveness.

Joe you don't know. They returned long ago. Even before 1917. SO it is just fairy tales. Abkhasians won't join no Khalipate since they are christians.

Just recall osetians then. They are fully christians but georgians attacked them in 1992 like akhasians.

Georgians started those wars and payed for that.

True, but Georgia didn't attack Russia, Russia attacked Georgia unprovoked in order to annex Abkhazia.==

Russia didn't attack Georgia either. If Russia will do then we would see russian tanks in Tbilisi.

But there were thousands of volunteers who went to fight Georgians in Abkhasia not by order by thier own will.

Georgians was who were invaders but Abkahsians who was invaded.

Yeah, right just like Russia "invaded" Chechnya and Serbia "invaded" Kosovo. Not. ===

Again Abkhasian lands was never Georgia. But plain lands of Chechnya and mountains of Kosovo was russian and serbian just few decades ago.
Groznii and other towns in Chechnya was build by kazaks and russian military not by chechens. Same as Prishtina in Kosovo together with hundreds of churchs was built by serbs.

I will tell you more. If Chechens was wise enough that they decided to spilt out of Russia only with thier mountain regions. I and millions of russians would NOT object at all.

The increasing of NATO do not increase the security but otherwise dicrease it. I will prove it.

Since Russia needs to prepare herself against threats which this NATO encirling brings then Russia builds more formidable weaponry.
If as you say those countries wants protection then I don't understand HOW NATO may protect them against just one Topol-M missile with 100M warhead? Just one missile and any NATO country is surely dead.
And then you in America will have HUGE dilemma on your hands. To start whole thermonuclier war with Russia which surely brings "unacceptable losses" to America may be deaths of your beloved parents and children. OR just let it be.
I presume you will choose the second. That is the end of NATO.

Russia is not threatened by NATO, why do you think that?

What is the purpose? Can you describe a possible scenario that would cause an attack against Russia?

The major problem in Russia is the lack of trust in their own laws, and the implementation of them. Today when the oil price is at its peak the Russian government is accumulating a lot of money, they should use it wisely. In a couple of years the dependence on fossil oil will decrease together with the money.

Russian oil and gas and other riches. Russia possesses 1/7 of Earch land but her population not bigger then of Japan.
That is the reason but pretext will be found as always.

NATO continues to encirle Russia. It is the threatening action. Just in case of contintency Russia needs the counter-balance. Only balance today is just her nukes - the "country busters".

The economy of Russia is very small, compare it with a small European country:

these figures are from 2005
Russia
exports: $245 billion, imports: $125 billion

the Netherlands
exports:$365.1 billion, imports:$326.6 billion

Maybe you can find a state in the US with approximately the same trade as Russia?

NATO was formed to oppose the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union is no more, however.

Pity that NATO then took up the task of helping to firmly establish the terrorist & Moslem-based KLA as the controlling force in the Serbian province of Kosovo.

Make them shift from offense to defense, you mean.

This is dangerous talk. You know what they say about a cornered wounded animal. Surround Russia and China and they will really have an alliance. So far, they have shared some technology but the Russian have keep some of their most prized technology to themselves. With the moves you suggest, you will see a complete integration of both military&industrial complexes. Russian and Chinese scientist working hand and hand creating weapons pretty near as powerful as ours. China along with Russia would open up the purse strings. What I mean, China has enormous cash reserves which amount to nearly a trillion dollars, and Russia is one of the most solvent country having paid down a significant amount of their debts. SOMETHING WE SHOULD DO BY THE WAY.
We need to find away to see with better eyes on both side, Russia, China and the US, before we create the world that will proceed the next great war, and this time it really will be "The War to End All Wars". A war that will end in a Mushroom Cloud. What I am saying is that we need to see in historical terms. When the last World Wars occurred I am sure they wonder how they got there, and what you are talking about might be look back on ,assuming there is someone to do so, as open salvos of the last great war.

We know Russians don't trust China. Both fought a war during the cold war era over border disputes. Today, there are problems such as poluution down the river into Russia, and flood of illegal Chinese immigrants into Russia. This will add fuel onto the nationalism of Russia, and create tensions between the two. There is no proof, but during the Cold War, USSR asked US if USSR could nuke China without objections from US. Russia will probably sell weapons to China as they have done in the past, but not the most advanced weapons that could threat the shrinking Russian population. Russia will continue to be an unclaimed enemy, as well as China. These are dictatorships.
