Black nationalists provide security for rape accuser (New Black Panther Party)
The Herald-Sun ^ | April 27, 2006 | Dan E. Way

Posted on 04/26/2006 11:16:25 PM PDT by SirJohnBarleycorn

DURHAM -- An official with the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense said the black nationalist organization is providing security for the woman who has accused Duke lacrosse players of raping her.

And the organization is distributing recruitment brochures with information about a rally planned near the Duke campus for Monday. The brochures ask, "Had enough of disrespect and racism from Duke University?" The materials contain photographs of Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann, the two white lacrosse players indicted and charged with raping a black exotic dancer at 610 N. Buchanan Blvd. the night of March 13-14.

"We'll do the escort and the security, going to court, whatever it takes" to protect the accuser from threats allegedly being made against her, said Minister Na'jee Shaka Muhammad, national field marshal with the New Black Panther Party who is based out of Atlanta but working in Durham with the dancer and her family.

The New Black Panther Party rally and news conference is being planned for Monday morning in front of an entrance to Duke at Chapel Drive and Duke University Road. Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, the group's national chairman and the national spokesman of Black Lawyers for Justice, will be the keynote speaker.

Muhammad said plans ... include a march past the lacrosse practice fields and ... 610 N. Buchanan Blvd.

(snip)

Founded in 1989 in Dallas, the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense has chapters across the U.S. It preaches self-determination for a black nation through revolutionary changes. Among other tenets of the organization are calls to free all incarcerated black people, exempting blacks from military service, education that "exposes the true nature of this devilish and decadent American society," and demands for trials by a jury of black peers.

Do poor, white trash in Durham vote? I can picture them for voting for Nifong, if they vote.
_____________________________________________

Poor southern white trash may not have as much formal education as others, but I bet they have enough common sense to figure out whether or not it is in their interest to vote for the guy pandering for African-American votes and to send some white kids up the river. I suspect white trash in Durham will not think a DA that prosecutes on the basis being done in the case is in their best interersts. But you can never know for sure. [Now white liberals are another matter.]

The defense attorneys know, and the AV and family knows they know ...

---

ZAHN: Jason Carroll, thanks so much. Appreciate it.

Just a bit earlier on, I spoke with Joe Cheshire, the attorney representing one of the Duke lacrosse players.

(snip)

CHESHIRE: Paula, well, first of all, let me say this for a living -- let me say this about what this woman does for a living.

Anybody that knows what she does for a living and the reality of what she does for a living knows that she could have received those injuries any time before 12:00 that evening. Now, as -- as this trial goes on, we will be able to discover exactly where she is. But the fact that she may have had sex with somebody after 6:00 or before 6:00 would mean, if she went to the hospital, they would show that she had -- quote -- "injuries," which is a word I don't like, but a medical condition, or things in her body, consistent with the fact that she may have had sex with somebody.

(snip)

CHESHIRE: Well, I'm -- I'm not going to say or share what we know about her. Obviously, we have done a lot of work on her.

And, when someone makes an accusation, that accusation has to stand up to the actual physical facts of what happened. First of all, hers will not stand up to the actual physical facts.

Secondly, you pointed out that they need to have no motivation to lie. I believe that the lawyers in this case will be able to show, on cross-examination and on the presentation of evidence, that she did have a motive to lie.

Leave it to the race pimps to latch on to this unfortunate woman for their new poster chile:

Saint Crystal, the Black Madonna of Durham.

I am so sick of this story. We'll be hearing about it for the next thirty years--like Tawana Brawley.

This is not the kind of thing that sounds right coming from a defense attorney.

Duke Lacrosse Accuser Made Previous Report

Durham police Officer Brian Bishop, who interviewed the accuser in 1996 while working on the Creedmoor force, said Thursday he had a vague recollection of the report but couldn't remember any details.

The conservative Friends of Durham group has endorsed Nifong.

I received their flyer in the mail today. Their drawing power has

dwindled over the years...however could tip the balance. I expect

a strong overall turnout. Herald-Sun should run political analysis

numbers (precincts, year to year) soon. Open election,

anyone registered can vote.

I wonder if Nifong knew of the earlier rape claim? I bet not.

I'll give to 2:1 odds he knows.

Ah yes, Cheshire did allude to knowing A LOT about her, and also the motion filed wanted to go back to when she was 17.

I remember the female attorney for one of the LAX captains mentioning on Abrams the day of the indictments, she was confident that when Nifong finds out what they already know about Mangum, he will drop the charges.

I doubt he will, but who knows. Mangum will back out and be the poor victim again I guess.

It's interesting that the broom handle report came much later than the original accusations. No doubt Miss Crystal had plenty of time to confer with jesse Jackson and the other race pimps to learn how to enhance her story for maximum litigation purposes.

Miss Crystal probably studied up real hard on the case of Mr. Abner Louima, after she saw the size of the settlement he got.

>>>Louima, who suffered a punctured bladder and intestines, required hospitalization and surgery. He subsequently filed a civil lawsuit againt the New York Police Department and the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and was awarded $8.7 million in damages last summer, the largest settlement for police brutality in New York history.<<<

Strange that Miss Crystal didn't have injuries like Louima had, consistent with rape by broomhandle.

I can't believe you all be dissin' this AV and ridiculing her new "protection."

A woman who is repeatedly being set upon by trios of rapists ~needs~ some protection. {/sarcasm}
