There is a lot of complaining, whining, lying, misleading, and really bad analysis going on right now vis-a-vis high gas prices. The latest I saw (early this morning) was an analysis that shows a lack of parity between the percentage increase in the price of a barrel of oil and the price of a gallon of gasoline at the pump. Look, I am not an economist or an expert on these matters. But rather than just moaning about the price of gas and then uttering some disembodied, meaningless statistic I heard from some dude, I have actually been listening to experts over the last few days. And, as with just about everything, to more I learn about an issue, the more I realize how important it is to study things before making snap judgments or determining a personal policy position. Here's the scoop as I now understand it...
The price of a gallon of gasoline is only partially determined by the price of a barrel of...

I sent an email to Rush about it. I asked him to get in touch with Greengrass and the Universal folks and find out what the hell's going on. Sent to the blogs too.
I will always be grateful to Sean for keeping me calm on Election Day. He got me through that horrible afternoon of sitting at work and having a nervous breakdown.
I know that LL... some bash more than others! Whether I agree or not or to what degree, it just seems not the place on a Rush thread to go on and on about it. I pretty much agree with you anyway.
Maybe there should be a daily bash-Sean thread and then I can pee in THEIR cornflakes.
Oh for heavens sake! I haven't read the Townhall Blankly piece....but what a stupid thing for Townhall to do.
At least they had the class to correct and apologize for it. Unlike the NY Slime and Wash ComPost.
Between Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein, I don't know who the biggest Moonbat is!
I advise all those who have a problem finding United 93 and want to see it to call their movie theatres (I know, some suck regarding phones), or visit and ask why they aren't showing it.
It was well written but I was a bit surprised that it would appear on the very day that he would accept the job as WH Press Secretary.
Can you link me to the correction, please.
I heard Sliwa many years back, before he got a talk show. He sounded pretty liberal to me.
OK, point taken. No mas, no mas...
No one can decipher them.
I wonder if Teddy K would be willing to show an example by taking all his funds out of 'big oil' and giving to the people? Same with the rest on the hill... especially his slimness, Michael Moore.
Now, now Lori...
Blame Boxer and Feinstein on "Californians"
Pelosi is the result of the Commies in the Bay Area (she represents a district)
BTW: It's amazing that the 3 named above all come out of lefty/commie central (Bay Area)
Now, let's talk about Washington State...LOL!!!
Thanks for going through all that. It will be shown about 2hrs. from me so I'll get to see it. The plan I had for the HS seniors is dead though. (sigh)
He loves Bush. I use to listen to him but I could not take filthy Ron Kuby anymore.
This caller is an idiot. Stick to law you know NOTHING about Economics Dan you moron. OVBVIOUSLY if you take the $.50 tax off they are going to take it off the price. If they can sell more at $2.00 then they do at $2.50 they make FAR more money then selling at $2.00/ There is NO evidence to support Dan the Leftist idiot assumption that the Oil Companies would RAISE the price. Funny how the Leftist ALWAYS demand we prove THEIR nutty assumptions false. Dan, where is there ANY evidence to support YOUR assumptions?
Scream it with me... I'M LIB FREEEEEEEE!
