That's what I've heard. I've never heard anyone who's ridden one NOT like it, the only ones that have bad things to say are the wheelie-popping, future roadstains on the supersports and the cruiser types who think that all the 250's must be dogs, like the Honda Rebel.
I wrecked badly 15 years ago and haven't been back on since, so I know my limitations and have no desire to chase the speed of sound on a bike with about 2 postage stamps worth of rubber between me and the road.
Where is all that oil that we went to Iraq to get?
I agree a speed delta of 10-15 mph is more sane than 30-40mph. There is no speed limit on the books for lane sharing, though all the moto LEOs I've talked to have said above 30mph and they might cite you for unsafe riding.
Doing the split is not for the faint of heart, but the odds of getting rear-ended by a coffee sipping, half-asleep office drone are pretty high in a traffic jam. Which is one reason I take the train to work. Then I just have to watch out for the drones running stop signs and stop lights.
And when I ride I go up 280 to 92, reverse-flow so it is usually not bad in morning. Coming home is worse, but with this weather I plan to take the scenic ways home and avoid all that.
-signed an office drone :P
....not Really. Check out the Aprilia RS 50.
They have 80cc big bore kits that will let those suckers do over 100 mph. You can get 70 mpg and look kewl too.
Scooters need their own road, to be shared with bicycles and pedestrians. Call it a sidewalk and stand back.
I remember having to drive that run on business the day of Reagan's Funeral as the sun set, windows down, eucalyptus in the air, with Maggie Thatcher on the radio talking about Rancho Cielo.
There was a time when "Californians" were generally respected as "westerners." And even though the coasties have lost touch with the central valley Californians (which I relate to the "old time westerner Californians")---the land itself still has the magic.
China is buying SUV's and we are buying mopeds. Soon enough an American will not need to travel to see a third world country.
Horse enrgey is recyclable. You can make methane from horse manure.
Wait a minute-- methane is supposed to be one of the biggest causes of global warming!! Remember, ALGORE talks about it in his book-- belching cows are one of the leading threats to the environment!
I do. You're gay.
LOL! Though I have decided unilaterally not to call them "gay"-- because these types have hijacked that formerly pleasant word. I prefer the much-more-accurate and appropriate phrase "sexually disoriented".
Algore doesn't see the big picture - which isn't surprising - he's a Democrat.
We need to fit all these belching cows with face-masks, collect all that methane gas, and then use it for energy purposes.
Democrats!!
I wasn't referring to the moped!
You can actually earn Kyoto emission credits by burning methane to form far less "damaging" C02.
I think I will stick to my Vette for now. :-)
Come to Norcross GA - Highest hispanic immigrant population of ANY county in the USA (according to the local fishwrapper) You can see third world here today.
Is that a Prevacid on his back?
Heh! I have no idea.
