sarasmom, apparently you've had an unpleasant experience in your brief stay in North Carolina; if so, as a several-generation native, I truly regret that. But I must say I am perplexed by your attack.

Let's review. I posted what was clearly (or so I thought) a piece of satire concerning the difficulties being experienced by North Carolina State University in hiring a new basketball coach. I thought it was a fairly clever piece; I expected that I would get a rise out of State fans, and in this I was not disappointed. All in good fun.

You, however, chose to use the article as an excuse to launch a blanket attack on the entire state. While of course I disagree with your opinion of North Carolina as "just an all around bad place to live," I am more perplexed as to why you picked this particular spot to open fire. What under God's yellow sun does your response at post 3 have to do with the thread's subject?

The first sentence caught my interest:

The balance of my posts on this thread are in reply to a few FReepers from North Carolina.
Not one of whom I met while here, although I have encountered several NC Freepers who are exceptionally nice people.
Hense my statement on #3 that the "natives are nice".
Which I would modify in retrospect as: "some of the natives are nice".
