However, this good review is a sign that the movie is not exploitive and makes a very accurate and detailed reenactment of the movie. I'm not against the movie personally and anyone who does decide to see it will not receive any protest from me.
That argument is total BS. TPTB are afraid people may actually see the enemy in this war for once and wake up to the garbage that is being pushed upon them by the MSM and certain members of Congress.
And what an abomination that will be! What kind of conspiracy theory will Ollie spin I wonder?
I hope it hits TV before the election.
I'm going
Todd Beamer's dad lives here in Jacksonville. He was interviewed a couple of weeks ago and he has seen the movie his comment was something to the effect that it was hard to watch but something that he thought every American should see to remember what happened to us that day. I agree!
Wow! That one should be fun.I'll wager that the script will look a lot like the flyer that my teenage nephew was handed as we walked away from Ground Zero a month or so ago...
In essence, this flyer claimed that 9/11 was a cleverly executed plot by the Pentagon.....
I must admit the scene where the family learns all five sons were killed on the USS Juneau was tough, as was the final scene of the conductor saluting when his train slowly went by the water tower they used to play on in Waterloo, IA.
I would rather have the Flight 93 passengers.
He loves the movie, especially because---in his mind---it doesn't pass judgement on the terrorists. One pukey quote from his review: "But I wasnt really prepared to be emotionally invested in not just the passengers, but the terrorists as well."
Yeah sure you weren't, Harry.
Just the fact that a movie is made about this event seems exploitive to me. I can only imagine how those that hate the west will relish at the sight of people coming out of theaters visibly shaken. I have no desire to partake of this crap.
I'll be going to see it.
This position has always been a non-starter for me -- anyone not being "ready" to see it can simply not go see it-- but the notion that the copernican types, "I'm the center of the universe and everything revolves around me" can decide for everyone else is simply absurd.
If Todd Beamer's dad can sit through, for goodness sakes, so can I!!!!!!!
We must never forget!

Sept 11 film 'too close' for Kiwi victim's family
Excerpt
A year after the 2001 attacks, Beaven's wife, Kimi, revealed to the Sunday Star-Times that her husband's remains were found in the cockpit of Flight 93 and his voice was on the cockpit voice recorder.
The film, to open on April 28 in America, has ignited debate there over whether the country is ready for such a vivid portrayal of the attacks.
When a trailer advertising the film was played at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, audience members began calling out, "Too soon!"
The trailer contains news film of one of the planes about to hit the World Trade Center, and a cinema in Manhattan took the rare step of pulling it from its screens after several complaints.
"One lady was crying," the manager told a local paper. "I don't think people are ready for this."
Ralph Beaven said he would not go to the cinema to watch the film. "For me personally, I'm not sure I'd go along, I think it would be a little too close to home. I don't want to go down that track again.
"It would be very emotionally charged, especially seeing someone else represent your brother."

Jury reconvenes in Moussaoui case
deliberating death penalty now.
Please pray they finish by Friday and the defense doesn't have the case dismissed due to this movie coming out.
what we need is a MSM that shows the towers being brought down at least once daily. Show the grusome stuff..the folks throwing themselves off the towers in desperation.
Americans have forgotten 9/11.
they need to see it again and again.
>>Likewise, United 93 does not delve into the background of the terrorists. Other films have done that, but it isn't on Greengrass' agenda, nor is sympathizing with them or demonizing them. ..
His vision for United 93 was not to make a political statement or to cast blame<<
Of course not. We must not impose our moral prejudices on these demonic homicidal maniacs who are now burning in hell for eternity.
That would not be politically correct.
The "too soon" mantra was co-ordinated by the libs in my opinion ... very much like a talking points memo. The other possibility is the producers of United 93, in order to generate pre release buzz, orchestrated events. In any case, it wasn't a random sentiment.
I don't know if I'm really ready to see a 9/11 movie myself yet.

I agree. This seems to be a darned good review. American needs to have its scab picked right now, especially in light of what defeatist are urging us to do.
we cannot forget. we must not forget.
