DEMOCRATS

US Senate Candidate Mum Over Refusal To Say Pledge

SAL Political Snitch, SAL Commentary

Democrats in action. Yikes.

Bexar democrats voted recently to "suspend" the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, as they entertained a Houston candidate for US senate.

Admitting that democrat Barbara Radnosky -- Kay Bailey Hutchison's opponent -- was present when San Antonio's Northwest Democrats held a meeting and fundraiser on April 15th, campaign manager Seth Davidson said he would issue a statement Monday.

He never did. (Click for related story.)

Radnosky, who is campaigning on being the "Veterans' Friend" will have a tough time squaring her quiet betrayal of the Pledge.

So, as she did at the now infamous meeting, she has remained silent.

Makes you wonder what she would consider important enought to break her silence.

Sure, she was out collecting money for her campaign, but if it is the quest for cash that keeps her from defending the Flag and the nation beneath it, then perhaps the Senate ain't the place she ought to be.

Meanwhile, Bexar County democratic leadership has been "unavailable" to comment on the US Flag flap.

Perhaps they have forgotten the words. Goes like this:

Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Write the editor.

More to follow,

Developing

Governor: Rick Perry 40% Strayhorn 21% Chris Bell 14% Friedman 12%

Senate:
Kay Bailey Hutchison 64%
Barbara Ann Radnosky 25%
Other 4%
Not Sure 6%
Radnofsky has been campaigning for over a year now and Hutchison is still over 60%. Unless someone has video of her strangling cats or putting babies on spikes, I don't see how those numbers are going to move very much..this came from here:

And besides now day here in Texas Democrat is a dirty word.

Sounds like she's gunning to have Kay Baily Hutchinson get over 66% of the vote. Kay got close in 1993, she might do it if this continues.

The hatred of vets, of the flag, of patriotism, is not new on the left. Being so full of it that you can't hide it seems to be a post-9/11 phenomenon.

This gal wants to be the "veterans' friend" but she defines the veterans as the wannabees, Kerry's VVAW buddies, etc. She wants to sympathise with Iraq and Afghanistan vets for all the atrocities she's sure we did.

The thing is, she's out in the open about it. Hillary Clinton believes the same thing, but she has too much savvy to say it. She knows that she can only get the power she craves by hugging the centerline of American political life, and biding her time.

Surely it took more time to vote to suspend saying it than saying it. These pigs have the typical anti American dem agenda. OF course, there is no need to include the pledge as part of every gathering or function. But to take the time to specifically vote to exclude it shows what you are.

Thanks for FReepmailing the reply from Ms. Radnofsky. She denies this, then. That deserves to be attached to this thread for posterity, don't you think?

I have not replied as of yet to this email from them and even got another one last night which I will post also.

"Thank you for the email and giving me a chance to reply. I have supported and participated in the Pledge of Allegiance each time it is recited. I've never opposed the Pledge at meetings or at any event, and reports otherwise are wrong and designed to create an issue where none exists. Did you perhaps speak to some gentleman who came and spoke to me about my father and grandfather and their service in the World Wars? I've received a few emails about the Pledge of Allegiance, and it was mentioned by a gentleman who asked about my father and grandfather. BAR"
