'Tangible proof' al-Qaida deploying nukes (Bombshell presentation)

A terrorism symposium featuring leading experts will begin with presentation of "tangible proof" al-Qaida not only has developed an arsenal of tactical nuclear weapons but also has begun to deploy them for use in its jihad against the United States and Israel.

Paul L. Williams, author of "The Al Connection" and "The Dunces of Doomsday," will present his findings at the National Press Club in Washington at the conclusion of a public debate with Wall Street Journal correspondent Richard Miniter on al-Qaida's nuclear weaponry.

The debate, Friday at 10 a.m., will be moderated by Fred Barnes, executive editor of The Weekly Standard and regular contributor to the Fox News Channel. The public is invited to attend.

The organizers say the event is timely, "with increased anxiety over demands for a pullout from Iraq, the nuclear developments in Iran and North Korea, the failure of our government to secure the borders and our country's fledgling, incomprehensive effort at homeland security."

Epstein believes the majority of Americans disapprove of both the "cut-and-run policy" proposed by many leading Democrats and the "compassionate conservative" approach of the Bush administration, favoring instead a "firm and decisive military action with no apologies to Russia, China, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia or the United Nations."

"I am convinced that the threat we are currently facing from radical Islam greatly surpasses that which was posed by the Third Reich," Epstein said.

Anyone interested in attending, Epstein added, should contact America's Truth Forum at its website or by calling 866-709-3474.

The event offers the following speakers (continued):

"Really? We'd nuke Russia, the Ukraine and/or Belarus? That's where the bombs would come from."

It is quite possible we would retaliate in scale based on how many of our cities are destroyed.

Based on AQ's past attacks, they have consistently chosen 3 or 4 targets with every attack for a 'spectacular'.

AQ's typical MO is a double attack: one initial attack, then a second attack on the same target (or *VERY* nearby*) to kill as many first responders as possible.

"That's a fairly broad statement. Ultimately, doesn't the US economy depend strongly on consumer confidence? If enough folks in the US say "we won't accept any US currency for transactions anymore", that's a big step."

What would confidence level be if you entire family was destroyed in LA, NY Chicago, etc? Would you be ready to go buy those big ticket items?

It was not a technological advance it was a novel method of using old technology in a particularly novel and brutal way.

Count on them doing the same thing again.

For example: Not exploding four nukes in one day, but exploding one of four nukes on successive days or weeks, to intensify the fear and dread. Islamofacist shock and awe. Lurking'

Oh, you mean Al-Qaeda has the infrastructure in place to maintain nuclear weapons in operational condition for years and years?

We've put ourselves in this position. Look at our track record in the Middle East. Jimmy Carter didn't have a "set" to go after the Iranians when they took over the embassy in Teheran. We did a limited military action in the desert which ended up making our military look inept (no offense implied.)We are less than 5 years from a MAJOR TERRORIST attack on our soil and we don't have the stomach for a sustained war. The majority party is fighting internally over policy issues and our CIC's poll numbers are in the tank. All AQ has to do is sit tight and we'll self-destruct. I have been a Republican my entire adult life. I support GW in this war and I'm tired of the spineless RINO's that are now lining their pockets with $$$$ at my expense. AQ WILL do something it's not if, it's when. We must as a nation understand that at some point we are going to have to get our "hands dirty" and just do it.

I am not speaking for him they do not have to maintain them for years and years only a year or so with final assembly on -site.

Have you not read the unclassified threat assessments, even those here on freerepublic?

Believe what you want at your own peril.

I agree. We will be the victims of our own inaction.

It's their move. Not fun playing the wait and see.

Better the kick some ass now ask questions later game.

I agree.

Once you have enriched uranium, you can create a nuclear explosion by techniques that are not military acceptable, but very effective.

One of the major constraints of our nuclear weapons is that they could be carried by an aircraft or missile. However if you deliver it in an 18 wheeler ....

Unfortunately, MAD will not work in this case.

One wonders what the impact on Islam would be if their Holiest shrines located in their numerous "Holy Cities" were just erased? Wouldn't even really need nukes to do it. Would that give us sufficient leverage to play the MAD game again? Would a western strike at Mecca force the kind of Reformation that Islam so badly needs?

Probably not....think Washington monument, Capitol Building (unless during Democratic caucus meeting) White House...all it will do is whip an already unbalanced population into a feeding frenzy. I favor the Teddy Roosevelt approach....a bomb falls on my house....three fall on yours. Put the ruling mullahs on notice that while we as a nation talk openly and disagree noisily, in the end we will survive and they will die.
