"Bush polls have fallen to a new low," shout the newspaper headlines or the news anchors on television. "President Bush and Congress have reached their lowest numbers yet," they continue, trying to speculate whether this is caused by the high gasoline prices, the current economy, or the war in Iraq.
This is strange since there is good news, mostly hidden by the media, about all three.
1. Recently, the U.S. Energy Department announced the results of a land survey: "We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:
snip
2. Our economy is at its best today with unemployment at its lowest in decades and with three million new jobs added!
snip
3. We are winning the war in Iraq and, as I write this, Jawad al-Maliki, an experienced political operator and advocate for Iraq's Shiite Muslims, has won the approval

Anti-Bush information also pours into our homes from the news on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN and even Fox News. The latter says that it is fair and balanced, implying that it gives you news from both the left and right political wings. But if TV news is to be balanced, should we not have at least one TV network that tells us only the truth about our country without two commentators spinning in two different directions? Don't we get enough opinion, generally slanted to the Left, from all the other networks?

Polls always reflect not what people think but rather how they react to the news they see and hear every day beamed or tossed into their homes by both television and print.

Yea..we were all just "abnormal" when we voted for him to be CIC of the United States of America.
Commitments are just so hard to keep these days. Let's all move to Canada with the liberals.
Neither are the foaming at the mouth, rabid, FORTRESS AMERICA types, here on FR, representative of the American populace. FR is a world unto itself and a tiny one at that.
Way too early to reach any final judgment on Roberts and Alito. IMHO, I do believe Alito will turn out okay. OTOH. We had Ike picking Warren. Nixon choosing Burger. And Reagan nominating O'Conner. Rehnquist, Scalia and Thomas turned out to be solid conservatives. Justices sometimes turn out to be good for America. Sometimes not so good. Sometimes downright bad.
As for calling my support of POTUS "irrational behavior" do you have a script handy? You've used that one all too often.
Let's post some:
Show me the RIGHT WINGER in there........LOL.
I don't read minds, and I stand by the statement. So you would vote for Michael Bloomberg or John McCain for President rather than a third-party conservative.
I will NEVER vote third party; EVER.
When you really take a hard look at America's problems, enviro-whacos are the root cause.
In the real world, a majority of Americans don't approve of anything Bush is doing. Conservatives are sticking with Dubya in the WOT. Thank God.
President Bush has been a good President. What is amazing is how many things in a free society are beyond his control, that people think are under his control. It almost sounds like many of them would love living under a dictator. But then they would moan because they have less freedom. When you think you can have it both ways, a reality check is in order.
I will say this from now until eternity, God's Kingdom is the only place you can have it both ways. So if you are not focusing a reasonable amount of time pursuing that goal, your just going to continue living in a world of frustration, fear, and anger. This world will NEVER be anything but vanity and vexation of spirit, beacause of sin and its effects in EVERYBODY's life. Until this imperfect world becomes perfect, every day will have its share of trouble.
1 Corinthians 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
Thank God indeed.
Correct.
Rudy, Rice and McCain = HIGH FAVORABLE'S.
Where's the conservatives most often touted here?
Only because the press and people like you are trashing him 24/7.
It's bad enough to fight the Democrats, but we've been fighting you malcontents and unappeasables for almost eight years.
And GALLOP is NOT good nor all that accurate.
The more you post, the worse you look.
Volume can contribute to overall profits.
THINK (ponder) the polling, were our news media honest and not left-wing agenda driven.

You make a good point. Bush does get blamed for things he has no contro over. I do think the immigration issue is something he does have contro over, and that is one issue with which I disagree with him strongly. I am also troubled by the creation of DHS and the out-of-control spending. I am not in the crowd that thinks Bush is a failure, but I am dissappointed with some of his domestic policies.
