The Democrats have abandoned their pro-immigration policy which heretofore was even left of Bush and Republican Business. That is, of course, if one can believe Howard Deans attack on George W. Bush and Ted Kennedy. Dean sends a chilling message: Republican President Bush has failed at border security and Dean plans to make it a Democrat 2006 election issue.
If Howard succeeds, because 81 per cent of the American people polled, demand action, then the law and order crowd in the Republican Party better get on the spore because the Democrats, with the help of their in-house pimp media, are going to steal this issue from them and win some serious seats in Congress.
The real loser in this fight is Mexico. It has actively assisted its poverty-stricken masses to steal across the border and transmit back to Mexico funds to help their relatives. After oil, such funds represent Mexicos largest source of revenue. Shut that off, and Mexico will start to suffer and maybe, just maybe the criminals that control that economy will get thrown out of office.
President Bush best wake up. His stance on immigration is presently untenable. The border gets closed or Republicans are blamed and will lose the 2006 elections. Growth of the economy be damned, America has decided that it prefers to retain its culture and wants its borders closed.
The multi-cultural crowd can stuff it as far as Americans are concerned. Americans want America for Americans.
A great lesson in backbone is presented by this dilemma. Certain Republican politicians have bolted from the pro-immigration business sector to endorse the more powerful law and order issue of not only many Republicans but obviously most Democrats. They pushed legislation that criminalized illegal immigration and asked for the deportation of the more than 12 Million already here. That has resulted in predictable protests that featured criminal aliens, anarchist loonies and the hundreds of thousdands of Mexican flags that were so quickly replaced at the next protest, with so many American flags, that their flip-flop was so patently false the American people didn't buy it.
Americans do not take kindly to being told to forgive law-breakers. Especially law-breakers who invade America, fraudulently obtain its "entitlements" and then tell Americans, in Spanish, they want full citizenship, granted in Spanish. It just doesnt work that way. And the Mexican flags and anti-American signs constituted only one of the big mistakes.
You cannot break into our home and defecate in our living room, not even once. That was a serious mistake, one that will forever change this countrys Immigration Law.
The real lesson here is truth and justice always will out. American sovereignty is more important than some multi-cultural appeasement foisted on Americans by the leftist elitists and socialist school teachers in their quest for a world government and the destruction of Americanism. Nor, in the same vane, are businesss needs more important.
In the process we get a clamp put on our porous borders and to thus provide a belated deterrent to Muslim killers. We will hopefully also get an electronic fence that allows for One Hundred Per Cent protection from those wishing to criminally invade our country. Eventually we will get real immigration reform that diversifies the ethnic and economic composition of those allowed to immigrate.
Many good things happen when Americans face an issue. This is just one. Those in the House that triggered this attention on illegal immigration are the real heroes. They made us and the illegals face the issue. Fortunately, the media were taken for a ride they couldnt control. An issue they couldnt hide behind any of political correctness, relativist nonsense or "multi-cultural" lies and deception. Mexican flags flew and the pimp media couldnt ignore that bleed. And now the fury begins. It will subside when that fence is in place and Americans again feels a sense of control over our destiny.
The President of the United States best clearly understand the law and order crowds message. It is loud and clear and non-partisan.
Immediately close down the borders.
Close them by force until they can be secured electronically or a Howard Dean will.
Remember, a lying hypocritical Bill Clinton ran as a welfare reformer and stole many other Republican issues in 1996.
It will happen again, Mister President.
Best you get cracking.
And while you are at it, maybe more heroes will surface who will face up to the fact that we have in Islam an enemy and a force of evil so strong that it is killing innocent women and children all over the planet. A plague of pseudo-religious murderers so depraved it continues with the genocide of hundreds of thousands in the Sudan and will do the same to Westerners in America and Europe when its intimidation succeeds. The pimp media refuses to shine a light on this problem and we need some heroes to perform that miracle.

It doesn't count as stealing an issue because the Republicans just left in in the trash next to "cutting government programs".
Shut down public services across the country to illegals and send in local authorities to arrest employers of illegals. The illegals will leave when there are no jobs or any other types of support available.
I heard that, too.
Instead of trying to FIX the Immigration laws in the USA, maybe we here in Mexico need to FIX our laws to make them Business friendly, enticing more of the Mexican Labor force to come back and work...get a days wages and spend the night at home with Momma and help her wash dishes and put little Junior to bed with prayer and Bible Stories.
The Republican Party had better understand very quickly that their asses are on the line over this one.
Millions of conservatives are looking to the President to do his plain duty.
Dems will make it campaign issue in 2006 and narrowly win. Then they'll backpedal and pass an amnesty.
This will enable them to overcome the GOP's narrow margins of victory in the last few elections and cement a solid majority with 12 million+ new donk voters.
The GOP had twelve years to make Newt's vision a reality, instead they pissed it away on cheap labor.
That about sums it up for me.
If you're not honest, you can promise anything, and I think they will play it both ways. They will try to paint the Repubs as anti-hispanic for opposing illegal immigration, and they will attack us for failing to secure the border.
They will be right about us, on the border issue, but dishonest as they have no intention of securing it themselves, unless they can create another bureaucracy and another dependent class by doing it...
We need to decriminalize minor marijuana and other petty drug use so we can make space in our prisons for "other than Mexican (and Central American) border invaders (especially if they come from suspect parts of the world).
We definitely need to defend our borders, but until we get the fences/electronics up, we should work a deal that if the Coyotes (guys who smuggle illegals) will tip us off to potential terrorists they are transporting, we will pay a reward. Of course, this will probably send more of them to Canada for border crossing, but that is a separate problem. Actually, Dean as former governor of Vermont may already be somewhat sensitized to this issue on a practical level.
If legislation is approved to allow people already in the country to become legal, it should include a stringent provision to learn English, and American civilization. When my grandparents came to the US in the 1890s, they wouldn't even let their children speak German in the home. As a result, I was almost 40 before it struck me that I was a second generation American. People who want the benefits of America should be willing to work for the priviledge. On the other hand, as another FR thread said about many of the Hispanic immigrants--"family oriented, hard working, religious, what's not to like?"

May 1st would be fine, I'd go for that too but I assume that they mean to continue that push through May FIFTH (Cinco de Mayo) which makes more sense to me.
You are correct. The Democrats will steal this issue and do nothing except legalize the illegals, who will become another reliable Democrat voting blaock.
The war will be lost, like in 1975. Twelve million new Democrat voters(they will be given voting privileges by special Democrat legislation, like Clinton did in 1996) and redistricting favorable to the Democrats and backed up by liberal judges, will guarantee that the Democrats rule for decades to come.
And the genius Karl Rove will be making millions as a lobbyist and cable TV analyst. You middle class suckers will be making your weekly trip to the unemployment office while the illegals-now-legal take over your jobs at half the pay.
And the Chamber of Commerce will tell you to retrain into a field like computer science, where all the jobs are already on their way to India and China.
And all your kids will be asked to serve in the militay to protect the illegal aliens' rights back home.
America will not make it to the 22nd century.
the law and order crowd in the Republican Party better get on the spore
I have it from a pretty good source that the Border Patrol, Customs and Immigration are going to gear up for a massive crackdown on May 1st when the illegals plan to stage their petty little rants.
