It cannot be done in the way the screamers like you want it...it would lead to violence, condemnation, and retribution. Sending back millions of illegally residing people is insane and you know it. There are other more reasonable ways to deal with the influx. Part of our tradition is allowing immigrants to come here. Criminals? Deport them. But law abiding hard working?

8 usc 1325 entering the US unlawfully (misdemeanor first time, felony second time)
8 usc 1326 entering the US after being deported
18 usc 1546 using false documents to obtain work authorization
18 usc 1028 using false identification document
42 usc 408 misuse of a social security number
18 usc 1344 setting up a bank account with false information

Just which aspect of the relationship between "illegal" and "criminal" don't you understand? Illegal aliens broke the law the minute they set foot in the US, in the manner that they chose to do so. They cannot suddenly become "law abiding" when they never were.

Oh, puh-leeze. A cop shoots a rapist. A carjacker shoots a driver. Method is the same - shooting. But that is the limit of the similarity. To say the two are morally equivalent is absurd.

And the same is true with your lame-assed attempts to equate extermination and genocide of people with enforcing our own immigration laws that were in place when these people came here.

It would be nice if you and the president showed a little more compassion for those attempting to come here legally than the lawbreakers.

My wife is a Patrick Henry American. I say that, because for 3 months prior to her naturalization ceremony she went around telling everyone, “Just give me liberty or give me death.” And she did almost die in the immigration process due to severe reactions from a required INS immunization.

In August 2002 we applied to bring her then 22 year old daughter to America, and now as the adult daughter of a CITIZEN she will be able to legally immigrate here approximately 6 to 10 years after our application. In the interim she is not allowed to visit her Mom in this country, and that due to American law, NOT Russian. Five years after arriving she can apply for citizenship, and that totals 11 to 15 years. However, they would make illegal aliens eligible for a Green Card in 6 years and citizenship after 5 years for a total of 11 years. Some relatives of citizens have to wait 23 years to immigrate here legally, and add 5 years for citizenship for a total of 28 years.

Excuse me, but the man behind the curtain is telling us illegal aliens will have to go to the end of the line. How can it be illegal aliens will have to go to the end of the line, when they grain citizenship in 11 years, and legal immigrants arrive at that point in 11 to 28 years? Not only that, but the illegal aliens get to wait in line in America, whereas the 4 million attempting to immigrate legally have to wait in their countries. By the way, in the last 15 years almost twice as many immigrants have come here legally from Mexico than all Europe combined, and that does not include the illegal aliens. What ever happened to truth, justice, and the American way?

You can't prove that in this neck of the woods where a brand new prison which is undergoing it's second extension already (it was originally built 5 years ago)is overflowing with illegal aliens who are hard core criminals.

YEP, it is working so well now. I mean these already here "temporary workers" are waiting in line like they are "suppose to", leaving like they are "suppose to", doing all those little things "required" of them. These people of integrity are exactly what we need. And... send the bill to Mr. & Mrs. American Citizen... courtesy of President Right Again Bush.
