More follows...
Our nutjobs stay inspired. Yesterday, it was mortars and rockets and today it was IEDs all over town.
It ebbs and flows.
Religion of Peace strikes again...
Are you sure??
I don't remember any big attacks right after Bin Ladin tapes for a LONG time...
BTW....isn't it well over a year since there was actual VIDEO footage of Bin Ladin?? I just keep thinking he has been dead for a while....and maybe the CIA is saying the tapes are his....(tin foil on my head...LOL)
Right in that area???
Prayers up for their safety.
ditto the prayer support. Not to be callaus but has there been any reaction in the markets yet to these atttacks, particularly oil prices
I didn't think so, either.
HA!!!
You are lucky I just finished swigging some coffee down before I read your post!!!
You, are SOOOOOOO right!!!
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
How'd that work out for them vis-a-vis their last hotel bombings in Jordan?
Lemme guess, Irish Protestants again, right? </sarc>
I think he's dead too. No video for a while. He looked like crap last one he was seen in.
Personally, dying of natural causes would be or have been too good for the POS. I would rather have seen him laid out on a table like Saddam's two boys.
I don't know. I'm not near a TV. I'm going to my room in a few, though and I'll catch up. All I have in my room in English are {shudder!} CNN and BBC.
Breaking news?? What does this have to do with Aruba?
Three explosions have been reported in Egypt's resort town of Dahab, on the eastern side of the Sinai peninsula.
According to some reports, up to 100 people may have been killed or injured in the blasts.
Police said more than 20 ambulances and police cars were rushing to the el-Masbat area of the city, the Associated Press news agency said.
"There is smoke coming from the area and there are people running everywhere," a witness told Reuters.
The blasts were heard around 1915 local time (1715 GMT), the witness said.
An interior ministry spokesman confirmed the blasts. "There were explosions, but the picture is still not clear," he told Reuters.
In July 2005, more than 60 people died in a bomb attack in the tourist area of the Egyptian resort town of Sharm al-Sheik.

From the AP:
17 Dead at Just 1 Hotel After Egypt Blasts 1 minute ago
Three explosions rocked the Egyptian resort city of Dahab at the height of the tourist season Monday night, killing at least 17 people and wounding more than 150 at just one hotel, according to the doctor who runs Egypt's Sinai Peninsula rescue squad.
Dr. Said Essa said he was headed to the scene of the blasts and that his casualty figures were for victims at the el-Khaleeg Hotel only. He said there were casualties from the other explosions but he had no details.
Al-Jazeera television said one of the blasts hit a restaurant, and authorities said more than 20 ambulances and police cars were rushing to the el-Masbat section of the city.
There have been a string of attacks in Egypt's Sinai peninsula over 18 months. They included al-Qaida-style bombings in the Egyptian resorts of Taba and Ras Shitan in October 2004, killing 34 people, and in Sharm el-Sheik in July 2005, killing 63.
Groups claiming links to al-Qaida took responsibility for those attacks, and Egyptian authorities say new Islamic militant groups have arisen in the peninsula but they are still trying to determine if they have any real connection to al-Qaida or other international terrorists.
This is high tourist season in the region, and hotels all along the Egyptian coasts could be expected to be at near capacity. Dahab is located on the Gulf of Aqaba on the eastern side of the Sinai Peninsula.
Pretty bad because they got that wedding.
We noticed a big change in Amman hotels right after that. Now, before we check in, we have to stand out in the parking lot while our luggage is X-rayed and we have to walk through metal detectors. Quite a way from the hotel entrance.
And I don't complain about it.
It's just how our world has become these days.
