Wow...what cowards. Believing in border enforcement makes you a "border troll" in these parts. Who would have thought back in the Clinton days that this is what we'd be dealing with here now?

Oh........one last point before I depart this lovely place.....

"People stop talking" to me because they lose the debate on logic and facts. Making excuses like "You're MEAN!" notwithstanding, not one person has adequately defended his position against my arguments.

THAT is why I am quite comfortable in leaving now. :)

The idea that someone doesn't care about any issue just because they don't frequent the same threads on Free Republic you do is ridiculous and offensive.

You were the one who threw that up to me, EV.

But you just twist this any dang way you want to, just like always.

Only 5?! Are you sure?!

That's all I could find, although I might have missed 'em. Isn't that enough? I highlighted them in red for ya!

Did you expect him to morph into Ted Kennedy? Hes claimed for the last two years to oppose a path to citizenship for illegals. Apparently that was untrue.

janet said, in essence, that she didn't care because she said the evil xlinton and President Bush were equally bad..

She is correct. Anyone with a modicum of intellect realizes that preservation of our republic is most important to the life and liberty of all Americans. Efforts toward that end have been politically sabotaged more in the past 6 years than in the two decades previous.

Bush has been telling us for two years now that he opposes a path to citizenship for illegals. In this speech he explicitly endorsed a path to citizenship for illegals. Do you deny this?

Well, I've been here awhile and not even once have I witnessed that.

"You are sooooo right. That's why when I found more work to do than I could afford, I skipped the Mexicans and went right to SLAVE labor. So much cheaper, and no paperwork at all!

Couldn't get no Americans, much less cheap Mexicans to pick dat cotton. So now I just breed 'em myself, Masters privilege you know, and puts 'em in the cotton field soons they can walk.

Cain't find no workers at cheap wages down in Loosiana? Why, just ferget that little Civil War thing and hitch up some slave chillin to the plow."

You waste bandwidth with this tripe, and make NO comment on the content of my post. Your ignorant bigotry is so enlightening!

If leftist control of this country was really your concern then "amnesty" would scare you more than anything else.

Hes claimed for the last two years to oppose a path to citizenship for illegals.

As I recall, Bush has never excluded some form of worker program, leading to citizenship.

Your memory is curiously selective. For two years Bush defined amnesty as giving illegals a path to citizenship and Bush is of course "against amnesty".

Well, the thing is that if the Republicans sabotage some of their own voters from voting for them, IMO they will only have themselves to blame.

IMO they are giving some people reasons to not vote in 2006-2008 and I really don't want Hillary in.

I read them.

Now please do carry on..........I wouldn't want to interfere with your discussion of 'facts.'

Truth is SO important to you, now isn't it?

I agree with you, and I think the Republicans are sabotaging their own party with their positions as they go into the election seasons.

I think the immigration was one to take a stand on and to be wishy washy on that as they have been spending will leave many at home not voting.

Just my opinion, but so far I've been right when I've called this stuff.

Hope something changes for the better.

What do yall think of the President's Irvine Speech?

Same ole, same ole. No specifics on controlling the border. His administration's history has been demonstrated as one of the worst ever.

Amnesty. Call it what you want, it's amnesty.

He demagogued the issue of illegals saying that, to paraphrase, "the loud voices say mass deportations, that won't work." That is simply false, I hear no one seriously calling for that they, we and I are calling for a crackdown on employers as the prime solution to the presence of illegals. It is also false to say it won't work. Canada is deporting over 10,000 illegals. No outcry or chaos there. Pres. Eisenhauer did it. No problem or failure there. It's caving to a direct threat from illegal foreign nationals. Appeasement of a terrorist tactic.

How do I rate his speech on "immigration?" Kind of a monotonous beat, impossible to dance to.

That was certainly a mature response. Thank you for ignoring my attempt to converse like an adult with you. Your grade-school petulance is much more entertaining.
