McKinney is a total idiot. "Off the record" only works if it is agreed to in advance. You lip off without that pre-agreement, anything you say is fair game.
Or at least, that's the way it worked when I was studying journalism. These days, who knows?
You have to realise that congress critters know that a news story is only good for a few days, If you survive those few days its old news. I am sure if the case isnt already dropped it will be. Probably the cop got a raise or a good promotion and agreed to drop the whole thing.

This is a calculated move by the dems. McKinney makes them look bad...very bad. They are throwing her under the bus hoping she is out of congress and not starring on GOP campaign literature as the face of the Democratic party.

That was my reaction, too, but then Congress always has had it's share of moral degenerants and lunatics.
