My bloody career (Jihadist fought in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Somalia, Iraq)
The Guardian ^ | April 23, 2006

Posted on 04/23/2006 3:36:31 PM PDT by joan

…Khalid fought in Afghanistan for two years...Afghanistan represented the birth of the global struggle...

In 1993, after Khalid had returned home from Afghanistan,...he went to join the fighting in Bosnia...

The combat was much more intense than the action he had seen in Afghanistan...In Bosnia, the enemy was right in front of you, and you had to kill or be killed each day. Khalid fought alongside a group called the Green Berets, named not after the American Special Forces but after the colour of Islam. One day, after a year at war in Bosnia, Khalid was on the front line between Tuzla and Zenica, battling Serbian snipers who were shooting into Muslim villages from a nearby mountain.

Suddenly, he came face to face with a Serb. The Serb got the jump, firing seven bullets into Khalid's stomach...

...It took hours to carry Khalid down the mine-covered trail. When he finally arrived at a triage area at the base of the mountain, he was put with a group of those too far gone to save and left to die.

Soon after, the medic who had given Khalid the morphine arrived and began searching for his patient. He found Khalid lying among the rows of the dead and ordered a Bosnian army helicopter to speed Khalid to a hospital, where he woke up in pre-op...

… It took Khalid several years to recover from his wounds. In 1996, he joined a group of Arab fighters going to Kosovo, where Christian Serbs were once again menacing a Muslim minority. By the time he arrived, however, the Serbs had already sealed off the country, making it impossible for him to enter. Unable to join the jihad, Khalid decided to move to England, where many of the brothers had settled.

Too bad Kahlid's wounds weren't fatal.

These are only snipets from a very long piece about a Mujahideen. I had to excerpt a lot because it is from The Guardian.

It shows, from the Mujahideen's own words that they were in intense combat operations with the Serbs - he describes it as heavier than Afghanistan.

He was also shot when he was face to face with a Serb.

The Croats and others claim that Serbs didn't do much fighting against the Mujahideen, and the international community tries fictionalize Serbs claims that they were fighting these people. Yet in the details of the fighting by the fighters themselves, not to mention war footage and photos, there is plenty of evidence of Serbs fighting well armed and supplied combatants - whether local or foreign. The Serbs were outnumbered, by fighting forces, in Bosnia. They were tortured, killed and mutilated (whether before, during or after death) by the Muslims.

This man was fighting with the local Muslims "Green Berets" and was treated in their hospital and transported by a Bosnian Muslim Army helicopter. An Army many try to claim didn't exist and that they were only people fighting with rusty old guns - a lie.

...gave him the strength and discipline he needed to survive as a homesick kid at war in a foreign land.

Oh, barf, I can't go on... Hey, Guardian, stop trying to humanize these swine.

Khalid, who agreed to recount the story of his jihad on the condition that his identity not be revealed

At this point, a friend at the qat chew hissed at Khalid in Arabic: 'Why are you telling him this? Don't talk about these things.'

'I have nothing to hide,' Khalid told him.

Jihadist cockroach. Has nothing to hide, but scurries out of the light. These Westerners he's befriended will be sorry when he encounters another "worthy cause" in the future.

the muslim green berets were bad bad news, atrocities in various regions of Bosnia against all "nonbelievers" of Islam. They killed muslims in hopes it would be put out it were the Serbs doing the killings, etc...

anyways, hoplite will come on board to say his rants of Serb hatred and muslim-loving bit.

What's funny is that Hoplite claimed he was in the Balkans during the 70's sometime if I recall correctly, somehow this makes him an expert in his nearsighted eyes.

Hoppy is too busy scouring the net for Destro to be right on anything, he gets a little lump in his pants when he finds him on some obscure blogger.
