So lemme see if I have this straight so far:
We have Mary Mcarthy who was appointed by Clinton
We have Sandy Berger who was appointed by Clinton
We have the real Joe Wilson, who was appointed to some African nation and then Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council by Clinton
We have Valerie Plame Joe Wilson's wife, who joined the CIA while Clinton was president
and we have Dana Priestly who got her information from the aforesaid Mary Mcarthy,
and we have William Goodfellow, husband of Dana Priestly who gets Joe Wilson speaking engagements.

This is an egregious crime. It was operational, not just classified info. She put lives in danger, c**t. She disclosed top secret information. Jail time is too kind. Think about it.

Wilsongate: Motive, Means, and Opportunity

From my files:

Wilson (as Ambassador to Gabon) had/has connections to the Gabon Chief of State, Omar Bongo, who was the chief African ally of the French oil company TotalFinaElf, a major beneficiary of the Oil-for-Food bribes. Prior to the Iraq War, they had a contract with Saddam's regime worth an estimated 12.5 to 27.0 billion barrels of oil reserves. Also he had connections via the Middle East Institute and Rock Creek, both of which are Saudi controlled.

Wilson's wife Jacqueline was also apparently a lobbyist for Bongo and it seems Wilson was pretty chummy with Saddam's weapons buyer, having dinner with him on the eve that Kuwait was invaded in 1990. She is now an advisor to Bongo, her picture from a 2005 conference can be found here That makes it very clear that there are connections to oil-for-food. No wonder Wilson can afford his lifestyle.

Who is Mary McCarthy? [The Great One, Mark Levin, weighs in...]--Well, as of this morning (Saturday) most of the drive-by media don't care. They're fixated with the weather and gas prices — and anything else that will divert the public's attention from the stunning revelation that a Sandy Berger crony has apparently been leaking top-secret information from her high post at the CIA.

The blogs are all over it. See Ace of Spades HQ and follow the links. The bloggers are reporting that the WaPo is carrying a story in Sunday's edition indicating that the investigation by the FBI is widespread, and that Rockefeller and Durbin and their staffs will be asked to take polygraphs, and that reporters who published the leaks may be subject to prosecution.

Mary McCarthy Identified As CIA Leaker

The identity of the CIA leaker fired for passing classified information to Washington Post writer Dana Priest has been revealed.

The officer flunked a polygraph exam before being fired on Thursday and is now under investigation by the Justice Department, NBC has learned.

Intelligence sources tell NBC News the accused officer, Mary McCarthy, worked in the CIA's inspector general's office and had worked for the National Security Council under the Clinton and and George W. Bush administrations.

The leak pertained to stories on the CIA’s rumored secret prisons in Eastern Europe, sources told NBC. The information was allegedly provided to Dana Priest of the Washington Post, who wrote about CIA prisons in November and was awarded a Pulitzer Prize on Monday for her reporting.

Sources said the CIA believes McCarthy had more than a dozen unauthorized contacts with Priest. Information about subjects other than the prisons may have been leaked as well.

The sleuthing has begun ;

The report of the 9/11 Commission notes that the National Security staff reviewed the intelligence in April 2000 and concluded that the CIA's assessment of its intelligence on bin Laden and al-Shifa had been valid; the memo to Clinton on this was cosigned by Richard Clarke and Mary McCarthy, the NSC senior director for intelligence programs, who opposed the bombing of al-Shifa in 1998

Great post. Here are a few of my personal favorites.


3. In my mind, the CIA is a compromised organization. Mary McCarthy is not some back bench disgruntled civil servant, she's a major player in the Security Community, the NSC and the CIA. Organizations tend to take on the attributes of those at the top. People who are promoted within the organization are promoted because they mimic those in the leadership. This means that there are a large number of people in the CIA whos careers map, personal network and decision making processes mimic those of Dr. McCarthy. Those that are supporting McCarthy now need to explain how an out of control, and apparently disloyal CIA has helped secure the United States against the people who are trying to kill us.

4. How many "dots" are not being "connected" because half of the CIA is sitting in its cubicles frothing at the mouth in hatred over the words "President Bush". How many people have died due to someone elses Bush Derangement Syndrome?

8. What strikes me as most interesting about this case is that it appears that Dr. McCarthy has close working relationships with many people in the "anti-Bush" community and the Democrat party. Is this just a leak, or part of an attempt at a soft "coup"?

10. Now that we have reason to question the loyalty of Dr. McCarthy and that she served in the NSC with Sandy Berger, Just what was it that Sandy Berger was carrying in his pants out of the archive? Is it related to this?

Let's not forget the massive wealth of the oil soaked countries and their lobbyists. Also, not to be underestimated, the many wealthy, powerful Middle Easterners who live in the US. Certain multi-national corporations also have no loyalty to the US. All of our enemies have a common goal - the US being "defeated" (or at the very least, severely weakened) in its war in Iraq and Afghanistan. The disruption and defeat of the US geopolitical goals is what the "enemy" is trying to achieve through various means.

What you have written is interesting, but it doesn't explain certain crucial modalities. First, Bill Clinton was a foreign policy ignoramus; he couldn't find half the UN members on a map. So, who were his foreign policy advisors. First, there was Hillary Clinton and her leftist cabal. Second there was the lawyer Warren Christopher who wanted and got the State Department, although he too was a foreign policy cipher. Remember, he didn't talk to the CIA director in a one-on-one for more than a year and a half after taking office. Go back to the problems in the Balkans and the Dayton accords; by that time the Clinton foreign policy team had taken shape. They were Lake, Berger, Albright and Holbrook (General Wesley Clark was tolerated because he was from Arkansas, but when he screwed up the Clintons dumped him fast.) Lake came out of a left wing think tank and was friends with William Goodfellow (Dana Priest's husband) and with elements at the New York Times and Washington Post. Then, when Berger took charge at the NSC he had Richard Clarke (who was the butt-boy of Mort Abramowitz at the Carnegie Institute for Peace and former head of State Department INR,) and Mary McCarthy to work with, among others. At the CIA they had the Inspector General L. Britt Snider to cover any tracks that Clinton wanted covered. Snider and his successor seem almost certain to have leaked or turned a blind eye to the leaking that went to Dana Priest. Was this Bill Clinton's team? No. Was it Hillary Clinton's team? Yes.

Finally, has the CIA been politicized? Absolutely. How big is the left wing cabal trying to bring down Porter Goss? Enormous.
