Ray Kurzweil, an inventor and futurist What has he invented? Hell, anyone can be a 'futurist'.

I'd kind of like to merge with a computer. It's the only way I'm ever going to read everything that I want to read.
To: Dark Skies
Yup. Then, a human-machine hybrid will invent the perpetual motion machine. He/it will use it to power the time machine that helps him finally and absolutely find Atlantis.
What a crouton. What the hell is the list of job requirements for the "Futurist" position? Being able to randomly make ridiculous guesses?
Don't any of these folks have real jobs?

The U.S. is not longer a republic we are a democracy..
BEING ASSIMILATED.. Now as we activly import multi millions of illegal and legal democrats from many places, even Mexico..
Democracy is the road to socialism. Karl Marx
Democracy is indispensable to socialism. The goal of socialism is communism. V.I. Lenin

you know, it really didn't take a
genius to yak about "merging" humans and machines... he could have lifted the idea from comic books in the '50's.
Danger, Will Robinson!
To: Dark Skies
Kurzweil's whole idea is fallacious. People are not simply biochemical machines whose functioning can be reduced to circuitry. Even dogs have amazing ESP powers that are not currently scientifically understood, let alone capable of being replicated by computers. For more info on this see www.sheldrake.org.
