Sigh...time, the cruel master of us all. As we approach mid-year, we also approach the mark when George W. Bush will have just 2 1/2 years left in his presidency. He is already incrementally passing into history before our eyes.

Bronze bust of President George W. Bush sculpted by Boris Spivak.

At least Barney got his very own Presidential Medal of Freedom, which the Dims can never take away from him. ;-)

Barney even got his own official Easter egg.

Faithful little Barney walks in the rain with the President past the always hostile White House press corps.

Barney learned his faithfulness from the President's beloved English Spring Spaniel, Spotty, who passed away in February two years ago. Barney has been a worthy successor to his old friend.

I don't see a close resemblence via that bronze sculpture.
Maybe it's just me who thinks so.
Thanks as always for the Dose today!

Yes he is, unfortunately for US. But I sincerely believe that history will show that he will have been one of the greatest presidents we've ever had. I am so privileged to have seen two such presidents in my lifetime - Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. God bless them both!

I'm no art critic, but it looks like that sculptor didn't get GWB's forehead exactly right. It looks more like a Paul Begala forehead. But I love the sentiment!

He did not capture dubya in the bronze, I am not impressed with the likeness.

My question is, WHO is Boris Spivak, and why would he make a bust of the President that completely misses WHO the President IS??

Someone who knows him has to make one of these!!!

You made me sad by reminding me that this presidency is winding down. It has been a bumpy ride but also an awesome one.

I, too, was hoping to get to see pictures of the bike ride. Maybe see a reporter crash and burn! LOL!

Thanks for the great pictures.

BTW...that bust looks nothing like GW. Not animated enough.

just 2 1/2 years left in his Presidency

I can't even think about that Wolfstar, it makes me feel ill. I don't know what we will do... who will have his courage and integrity?? I worry for our country.
