While the media in communist China censored the protestor who interrupted the White House-welcoming of China’s President, CBS and ABC prattled on about how a U.S. official’s misnaming of China was a huge embarrassment for President Bush and also re-spun China’s propaganda about Taiwan. MSNBC’s liberal Keith Olbermann, who regularly slams Fox News Channel as unreliable, miraculously found the network highly reliable when it reported President Bush’s approval rating at 33 percent. Today’s Katie Couric endorsed Senator Kennedy’s neo-socialist national health care plan as “noble.” Hardball’s Chris Matthews, apparently short on material, discussed Rolling Stone’s issue about Bush being the worst president in history. Jane Fonda whined about the “right wing” perpetuating “the myth of Hanoi Jane.” Read more in Friday's Cyberalert

Speaking of Communist China and Taiwan...

Does anyone think that the IAEA, the U.N., and all the Islamofascist coddlers and apologists that are dragging their heels regarding Iran and their nutbar fuehrer's nuclear ambitions would be as slow moving if it were the leaders of Taiwan who were holding mass rallies in Taipei, proclaiming THEIR nuclear prowess, and demanding that they be left alone to develop their own (chuckle) "peaceful" nuclear energy program?

Beijing would already have their amphibious forces ready to cross the Formosa Straits.

And the world in general would applaud them.

Good point.

taiwan does have nuclear power plants and have no plans to pursue nuclear weapons. they embrace democracy and actually wants to join the world community and contribute. its is of course the UN's policy that despots be welcomed and civilized peace wanting populations be spurned.

in the thousands of years of humanity's history, the strong always has its way with the weak. in today's illusion of equality and good will, it remains the same. the power is always in the strong and taiwan just isnt strong enough

Yes, I know Taiwan has nuclear power plants, my point was how quickly the international community would move against Taiwan if THEY were behaving as irresponsibly and irrationally as the Iranians are at present.

As for your assertion that the strong always has it's way with the weak, if that were true, we would still be loyal colonists in the Americas because we would have been unable to stand up to the might of the British Empire and 1776 would be just another year in history. Capeche'?

even us, without all our bravery had the french help along with tacit help of other nations via boycotts and war. even given china's internal problems, the chinese ppl are still brainwashed to unite when it comes to taiwan. and forget about any tacit help from other nations, UN loves China. taiwan, without help from the US will be crushed. with the US appeasing china, taiwan has no chance.
