Everything Risen says is "qualified", i.e., it may be true or not. So the purpose of his writings wasn't "truth" but to just throw everything in a blender and nail Bush.

The Dems have to take on new issues to win....Abortion has turned on them and so has the gay issue. SS is a dead issue. Medicare and Medicaid will always be no vote issues. (Get what you can and be happy).

Illegal immigrants....If the Dems had their way and we were REAL close to the election...they'd grant them all citizenship. (Didn't Bubba do that in Florida at some time).

I had never seen that before. I'll need to go back and re-read it, then finish reading it, because I got nauseous. Reading it in light of the McCarthy incident I realize someone gave this reporter the VERY NITTY GRITTY.
